I'm joining the club with this online journal thing.

23 f in ny, suffering with acne since i was 10 years old.
my acne has fluctuated throughout the years, sometimes mild and sometimes horrid.
my skin's a flaky red mess from all the topicals i've put on my face. its weird, it's dry and dehydrated, but I get oily 30 minutes after washing my face.

Summary of everything i've tried - retin-a, differin, tazorac, bp, erythromycin, clyndamycin, solodyne, tetracycline, spiro, bc pills, azelex, metro gel, smooth beam laser... and thats probably only about half the meds that i've been on.

anyway, i finally got accutane after i found my current doctor in nyc. my previous one said no. now i'm stuck with scarring, discoloration and huge pores that are always clogged. can someone please comment on pore size? most of my scars are enlarged pores and i'm really hoping they shrink.

Currently on day 3. 20 mg of Sotret per day. Its a very low dose, but I'm only 90-95 pounds, so I guess its in line.

woke up with about 5 tiny white heads today. not sure if its the accutane or not because i tend to wake up with white heads every day due to the oiliness of my face. no other changes.

For the ladies out there, i am completely in love with Laura Mercier silk creme foundation. its oil free, yet it covers sooooooo well and is moisturizing. it was designed for people with rosacea, so covers redness and zits like a charm.

hey good luck.. i'm also taking sotret but in a much bigger dose.. but yeah good luck!
