Hi all, This is for people who are thinking of going on accutane or first time accutane users. I just thought I'd help out by making a list of positives and negatives of accutane. I personally have went on accutane and had great results from it with minimal side effect.

Positives

- majority achieve clear skin after accutane
- only treatment that can possibly clear acne for good or for a long time
- reduces oil
- In my case, it eliminated my acne, white heads and black heads

Negatives

- lots of side effects (in my case, minimal side effects)
- possible liver damage
- expensive
- monthly blood tests
- Initial break out
- having to remember to take the pill every single day
