Ive been a differin loyalist since '05. My only problem with differin is it makes me breakout on my chin almost twice a month. So when i learned about this site about 3 mos ago, I tried putting bp on my chin instead of differin. OMG, no acne on my chin since then. Then i would try generous amount of bp on my cheeks and forehead but guess what? It didnt work and i followed everything religiously for 3 mos. NOW, im back to differin on my cheeks and bp on my chin. Im almost clear except for the damage(red marks, scars) the bp has done to my cheeks. Differin is gradually healing my cheeks now while bp is keeping my chin area 100% clear. I didnt know that different parts of the face need different medications.

Hi Everyone,

Long time since i logged on to Acne.org. Haven't forgotten about this site. I am still using differin since October 2006. I can't believe it has been that long! After using the differin and experimenting on moisturizers....I've learned how to properly balance the amount of oil on my face through using differin, jojoba oil, and cetaphil. Doing this has made my face a lot clearer...I only experience 1-2 breakouts a month...and my breakouts are usually just a small red bump...which I can handle....usually during my period.

deebubs, do you put moisturizer/jojoba oil on after your differin application?

Are you still using the differin 0.1% gel once per day or twice per day? Or maybe you are applying it every other day?

Sorry for the late reply. Have been on vacation. Regarding differin, I only use it once per day...which is usually before I go to bed. I do skip it every other day if I find my skin getting dry.
