Hello everyone. I'm almost (in 3 months) 20 years old male from Croatia, Zagreb.
Been suffering from forehead (only inflammation part mostly) acne since age od 13. My skin is !extremely! oily and of course it is the main reason for my acne.

I HATE products like differin, because they don't work and my forehead becomes so red that I'm ashamed to go out sad.gif

I decided to go to the derm one last time (been before and after differin, said to my self no more) and told her I would like to try roaccutane. She said OK but "would you like to try local teraphy one more time". I said OK, she gave me some lotion, really don't know the name because they maid it for me in local drugstore and I can't read ugly writing smile.gif

Used that for 10 days and my skin started to peel and became red again, I looked really bad. She said that I should do some blood test and eye check until next time.
Eyes OK, blood check in monday.

I CAN'T wait to cure my acne. I wanna look nice just like everyone else, it that to much to ask ?
To be honest, my acne impacts my self confidence and that is the main reason I want roaccutane.

So if everything goes well I will start taking roaccutane next week.

Here is the picture of my acne (2 day old.) You can se a huge cyst. My acne gets mush worse when I'm in stress, but I'm in collage and study much, exams = stress.

So, should I go for it and try to have a batter life ?
Thanks you people. This forum is one of the best web sites I've ever visitet. Hope we can help each other, love you all smile.gif

My prediction is that you will LOVE accutane. You might break out on your face a little but your cysts will probably heal very fast.

Go for the roaccutane!

Blood test done.
I have little above normal (79-125) creatinine (128). My doctor says it's because I train a lot.

Next week I'm going to the derm. If this little above normal creatinine don't stop me I hope to start roaccutane right away.

ByeBYe till the next report.

I can't do this sad.gif

All my life I lived a healthy life. I don't smoke, drink alcohol, eat junk food (well most of the time), do drugs etc. and big part of my life is sport. Right now I have energy like never before.

I tought I want accutane but now when I'm taking it I don't want it any more sad.gif Can't stop thinking about it and what could happen to me. No body really knows what this drug can do.

If I quit I know I won't get clear for at least 3-4 years (24-25years old) but my acne isn't that bad that I can't live with them.

Here goes another photo of how my forehead looks 5 hours after washing. Only reason why I'm taking tane is big swellng cysts that hit me when I don't what them the most.

Would you take tane with acne like mine ? Rest of the face super, zero red.

Anyway Day 1
Nothing to report. Skin ultra oily as usual.

Hi there! Congratulations on starting accutane! I started 4 days ago (60 mg per day).

I just wanted to encourage you to stick with the accutane! You are right that the side effects can sometimes be unpredictable, but accutane is the one drug that has been scientifically proven many times to CURE cystic acne. If you are concerned about being able to have an active lifestyle, you should not worry. As you can tell from reading these logs, that is not a common complaint. In fact having clear skin will probably make you feel more confident to go out and do the things you want to do! Also, my dermatologist told me that it is safe to stop the drug at any time if you start having side effects... So I think you should keep on going and don't be scared - many thousands of people have been helped by accutane, and you deserve to be one of them!

Also, as for your creatinine, don't worry about that, it is not usually affected by the accutane.

Keep us posted on your progress! Good luck smile.gif

Oh, and to answer your question - YES, i would take accutane with a forehead like that even though you don't have other acne elsewhere. My acne is not very bad either but I am just sick of it at age 24! smile.gif

Nothing much to report. Skin still super oily.

Very sudden.

The choice to take accutane is a big one with a lot of risks involved. The risks need to outweight the problem... and whether it does or not is down to the person involved.

I hope it sorts itself out for you.
