Stefy's Roaccutane Log

So, for those of you who don't know me, a little background...
My name's Stefy and I'm a 19 year old Italian girl. This is my second time on 'tane, because my first course lasted from November 2005 to February 2006 on a pretty low dose (20mg for the first week and then 30mg till the end). It did it's job, though, but now my acne is coming back, and I hate it so much! Because after you have been clear and hoped (and believed) that that would last the worse thing it seeing it coming back. It's not bad as last year, so I'm happy.
Like last year, I'll be on 20mg for 8-10 days and then up to 30mg untill the derm will want me on the drug...
The situation now it's not that bad, I have 1 pimple and some tiny whiteheads on my chin that are healing, 2 small pimples on my right cheek and other 2 on my left... My forehead has some tiny tiny healing whiteheads... I have red marks but my complextion is over all pretty smooth... I know I sound very positive towards this, but that's because I remember how my face was last year when I began Roaccutane, and it was so bad I would cry everyday, really, and comparing that to my face at the moment is good now, because I realise how much it has improved... Now I just want that this course is the one, and that after this I won't need anything else but a normal cleansing routine to keep my face healthy.
It's 1 week I'm on Roaccutane (Aisoskin) and I feel my lips getting dry already. My face is very dry but not because of the 'tane, because of the regimen I was in before, and so I'm appying a lot of moisturizer, without problems...
I can't wait to see and feel my face completely smooth and without those painful things...
Products I'll use:
Face: ROC Cleanser and ROC Moisturizer
Lips: Eucerin Lip Balm, or Labello's and Vaseline when I go to sleep.
Body: Nivea Moisturizer if the skin begins to feel dry or Baby Oil after shower/bath
Hair: Dove shampoo and conditioner (a lot) since they are the most moisturizing
That's all for now...let's hope and be patient..

Evrything is ok at the moment... My lips are getting dry and flaky (but that's also because if I feel them peeling, I'll bite them...so, yeah, my fault..lol).
Yesterday I bought ROC Purif-AC Moisturizer for young problem skin under anti-acne treatments and I tried it out. It really moisturizes and keep my face from being flaky around mouth ares, but what I don't like is that it never completely gets sbsorbed into the skin... I mean, when you massage it on, you feel it like powdery and your skin never get totally 'dry' to the touch but it keeps it moist... I'm not sure if I like it, but we'll see...
Not much news pimple-wise... I popped 2 yesterday night because they were ready, and one refilled this night, but I can live with that. I have many red marks but this new moisturizer it's also supposed to help prevent and cure them...
All for today..

Nothing new today... I've spent an awesome Saturday afternoon with my sister, at what you'd call the 'mall'... It was great and we also bought some very pretty things (clothes, of course). We ate at Brger King, and no, I don't regret that because it was the perfect place to take Roaccutane!! lol since we are both on it at the moment, and so I had brought 2 pills from home....
My skin this morning was beautiful, because yesterday I had used the Moisturizer I've talked about before, and it really nourishes the skin, and leaves it soft, vibrant...I love it! Only thing, I really don't like it under make up...even if applied an hour before putting foundation on, I don't like hoe it looks...because it doesn't leave the skin feeling dry to the touch and so the make up doesn't stay put properly...
I have a big pimple on my chin, (which I'm about to squeeze very gently, because it's ready) and some healing ones...The moisturizer seems to help the red marks too!

This will be my last day at 20mgs, from tomorrow on I will be taking 30mgs, which is not a bit difference, but always better
This morning when I woke up my face was fine, not red, red marks had calmed down and all. My lips and face needed moisture, anyway... My lips in particular are getting very dry and I have to apply lipbalm several times both morning and evening... I use Vaseline before going to bed or if my lips are peeling and need extra moisture.
I can feel a bump on my forehead which is hurting a bit and one coming up near the corner of my lips...but other than that it's ok, no new ones, just some still active and others are healing...
I noticed yesterday that I actually have chest pain when I brush and omb my hair or get dressed, like bone pain...I don't know, hope it doesn't last for the whole course, also because I know from experience that I'll also get back pain...

My first day on 30mgs!!! Yay me! I took my 10mg pill with lunch and I'm going to take the 20mg one with dinner... My skin looked ok this morning, although I have a pustule between my eyes and I feel a lump coming up on my cheekbone.. I haye getting them there
2 tiny ones have come up on my left cheek. They are small but pretty red, and the one near the corner of my mouth hurts! It's deep down the skin, but I don't think it's a cyst or a nodule...
My lips are drier and drier and yesterday when I tried to put my contact lenses on, I immidiately had to take them off because my eyes hurt... Other then that it's all good... Hope not to breakout much...

Nothing new to report. My skin is doing well and it's not red or irritated. Also I don't have many pimples, just some really, which I'm happy about. I've noticed that the red marks on my right cheek are getting better, and I'm so happy about it... The papule near the corner of my mouth hurts really, but today I can feel the sweeling is gone a bit down, and I see a tiny tiny white head, so probably tomorrow I'll be able to pop it.
Tomorrow I'm going to arrange the appointment for my blood test and hope that it'll be good.
I know I have to stop using the treatment I'm using (ROC Rurif-AC) but I've cut it down to once a day, and I'm scared that if I stop using it I'll breakout, also because I'm still in the probable IB period... Maybe in a couple of days, or a week, I'll starting using it once every other day and then stop completely. I think it's the best thing so my skin will get used to it...

Everything's good. Nothing new... I've only noticed that my skin is slightly rosey, pink which is nice, but better than under make up it doesn't show... It's only a bit oilier, but it also could depend on the new moisturizer I'm using...
2 weeks, it doesn't really seem that so much time is passed already, which is nice. I'm trying to take my dose with some fat because I know it's better for adsorbition and so it may be my time to clear up for good, even for little time and on a low dose... Let's hope for the best

My face is fine... I have broken out a bit on my chin and lower part of my face but it's ok.. I popped the ones I could and now are only a little red. The thing with my skin is that is perfectly white, pale and so even the slightly red mark or non inflammed pimple stand out so much...
I have red marks on my left cheeks (quite a lot, but not that many) and less on my right cheek, which makes me happy.
Forehead - 2 pimples coming to a head
Right cheek - clear of pimples (just 1 almost completely healed)
Left cheek - 2 active pimples and 1 healing (that has been there for more than a week!!)
Chin - 3 pimples healing (after popping them)
PS: when I say that everything is fine, or nothing new to report, it doesn't mean that I'm not breaking out. It means that my face hasn't got worst or much better, so I continue to break out a bit like always...

So much time... And I've realised now that I should really stop using the treatment I still use at night... It's only that I don't want to break out, but I feel like accutane is not doing its job and if I don't stop my derm will be like 'Yay you don't even need 2 months!!' Yes because she wants me to take it 2 months or three at max, which is too little time, but anyway, I just have to stop with the treatment...
My skin has worsen a bit and now has got many more red marks on my left side. On my right side I have much less, and it's clear from breakouts (just one little pimple that's near the ear, so it's not visible). I got another on on my left temple and a small one on my right cheek. My forehead has got 2 pimples which are now healing..

Oh, and off topic, I really like your name. Every time I see it, it reminds me of this band named Stefy (which I believe happens to be the lead singers name too).

A month is passed and I'm breaking out. I know it's because I've finally stopped the treatment, and also because I've picked, but I really needed to..now instead of a bleackhead I've got a red inflammed pimple coming up..better uh?? I'm mad at myself but anyway...
My skin is worse then before, pretty much worse, also because I'm getting pimples on the upper cheeks, under my eyes, and I HATE having them there, cause they are just so visible... One is coming to a head and doesn't hurt, but the other one which is close to, really hurt much! And it's like that pain, like it's deep down the skin, and I fear it will be a cyst/nodule so much, because of the position, of course...
Nothing new, excepting me getting worse...
I've got headaches a lot, and my lips are dry, but actually not cracked, so I'm happy... I really thought it would be worse. My back hurts, but that's ok, as I don't do anything really that involves my back much, so I'm ok..
