Whats up everybody, my name is Ryan and today I started Isotretinoin for Acne. Im Taking Claravis because my insurance only pays for generics. I currently taking 40mg once a day till the end of this month, and then ill know what i'll be taking next month. I have had acne since the age 16 and now im 21 and its time for it "TO GO". I have been waiting for this day for awhile now. The type of acne i have is very persistant white heads through out the month and about 5 to 10 cyst a month. It is very rare for me to go a couple days with out a new acne forming. I NEED it to STOP. I already have a few shallow scars on the sides of my cheeks and hopefully Accutane can help them also. Acne is running my life and for the past three years ruining it also. I have been going to the derm for about two years now and they finally gave me this medication.
The Medications ive been on:I've tried Proactive, Murad, Herbal, Dieting right, Tetracycline, Doxycycline, Amoxicillin, Tazoric, Retina A, Tea tree Oil, countless over the counter medications and I finally trying Accutane(Hopefully the Last).
INFO ON ME- 21yr old male, Chicago, 5'10", The #1 Priority in my life is to achieve just normal clear skin and not have to worry about it anymore. I really dont go out on the weekends w/friends anymore because of Acne, Acne has almost made me lose two full scholarships i recieve form the government, one in which they pay for the my schooling and another they pay me an educational allowance monthly. The Acne i got made me not want to go to school anymore, and still does'tn- but im still in school only taking online courses and hope to return to school with a clear face and a fresh start. That is just a little of what Acne has done to my self esteem. I am a very athletic and love to play basketball and football( So i will let all the Athletes know if there is any soreness in the joints or bones)
So this is day one and i pop the pill around 6 hours ago and dont feel anything other than a little bit light headed- i have around 5 to 6 pimples a few red marks and a couple scars.
Im also going to get some Silka Camilla Oil to help with the scars during the process, if anybody has any info or would like to give me some words of incuragement on their experiences feel free to hit me up...... I' up date every couple days or so.....
