I can't imagine that's entirely true, or the product would be useless, no? Maybe it's just the specific treatment that the derm does...?

Over all, it didn't work it's very expensive and I regret ever stepping into that office! "Celibre". It's up to you, if you want to try it...

I've only used them a few hours each probably, they both work great.
Anyway, if you or anyone you know wants them, I'm selling them both for fifty dollars each. I'll give you the original box and everything. They work like brand new, they were just not getting used so I figured I'd see if anyone was interested.
If it makes someone more comfortable, I'll put them up on Ebay for a more offical transaction. I'm legit though, no worries.

Let me start off by saying I have always had issues with acne. I am 33. Mainly cystic acne and sebum plugs, both which drive me crazy. I used to get one or 2 cysts a month but a few months ago I started getting one a day. At first I thought it was the Bare Minerals makeup I switched too, but figured out that wasn't it after I threw it all away and the cysts kept coming. I didnt understand why my BP product had stopped working. I figured out that most likely it was because I had gone off my birth control pill.
Since I am now pregnant I didnt want to keep putting a bunch of chemicals on my face. But I had to do something because I had up to 8 cysts at a time on my chin. So I was about to go off and spend probably $400 at a skin center but I decided to give this a try first.
The Lumiport site said they were out of stock so I went to Ebay and paid alot less. I used the purple setting on my current cysts and the blue setting for 10 minutes to prevent them. The instructions say to do it morning and night but after the first 2 weeks I just do it at night because I dont have time in the morning. I started seeing less cysts in 5 days - right now I have none - which I think is just amazing. AND I have less sebum plugs in my chin! I hate those things and have never been able to find a treatment for them. A dermatologist once told me ,"some people have them, some don't" - that was the extent of his advice. I don't know how well it helps speed up the healing process but as for prevention it definitely works for me.
I have been using acne free for years. When the cysts started popping up every day I tried Murad's acne line - no help. I added DDF sulfur clay mask - no help. A few various other things.
I have added the acne free back into my regime - but not every night.
I consider this the best risk I have ever taken for my skin care!

Note that like the other lights, the 12 week mark was significant. While I noticed some positive results after the first session, that 12 week mark was impressive. It does make a difference if I skip a session. My acne will usually flare up if I miss more than a day of using it.
I think I paid $100 for it, maybe a bit more, but I've cut down on everything else except for the light. I don't use topicals, and a lot of times, I won't use moisturizers. For cleansers I use cetaphil or St. Ives peach scrub.
So review: 90% decrease of cystic acne, 70% decrease in regular acne. I am not prone to blackheads, so I cannot make any claims about them.

There was a tube of Aloe Lips, lip balm in the box. The separate flyer instructed me to use the lip balm on the acne spots after I washed my face and before I used the light. What? What??
I haven't seen this discussed before ... so I skipped that step for the first 5 or so nights. But for grins tonight, I put it on ONE major spot on my forehead to do a little testing.
I double checked the web site and didn't see an avenue to reorder the lip balm should it turn out to be a miracle cream. But a little googling helped me find it for under $3.

I'm about to buy the enLux Hybrid LED from Intelligent Acne Treatment but I notice that the Red light is 630 nm. Is this the right wavelength? I looked over at AcneLamp and their red light is at 660 nm.
Thank you on any input on which lamp i should buy

My dermatologist told me that these devices filter out the harmful UV light, so you should experience no long-term negative effects.

I just got it and started trying it.
We'll see if it works.
I have an old acnelamp, but it had red and blue together and was so hard to use.
