I'm into my third week now using the clean and clear continuous wash and 2.5 BP and i'm still happy with the results...only a few breakouts now.

I'm looking for a good exfoliating product with salicylic acid in it...I tried St. Ives but I think its too rough and it made my face really oily. Baking soda is too harsh for everday. Any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend a moisturiser to go with these two clean and clear products. If they tend to dry ure face for a 2-3 weeks then I would like to make sure i dont walk around with dry patches on my face. Thanks Guys

hm, maybe..Olay complete for sensitive skin with SPF 15 added with a few drops of jojoba oil.

I've been on the dkr for about 4 months, it did get me clear but my face is always so dry and red and flakey. It takes forever to in the morning and now I moved out for college I can't afford all thee products usually. If I do try this regimen will I get a bad breakout since m skin is already used to bp? Anyone came from DKR and had success?

When I first switched to the 10% bp wash - it did make me a little more dry and flaky. I didn't have a breakout, I had great results. However some don't, if you read this log all the way through. One thing that folks miss on this regimen is that the OP did the face washes - not apply the products that last all day. I like the Clean and Clear 2% scrub better than the walmart version - it is not expensive and lasts a long time. The 10% bp Clean & Clear continuously clear bp wash lasts a long time too - like 2-3 months. Do the SA wash, leave on for a few minutes - then do the bp wash, using a pea sized amt to start - start out with 1 minute and work your way up, to see what your skin does. I do only once a day and have good results, but I do another routine in the pm. I would suggest that you spot treat with your bp 2.5% that you use now, if you have spots initially during the day as well and see how it goes. SA is a great thing to add to your reg and the combo of the 2 I thing made a huge difference for me.

Just started this about twenty minutes ago never having tried anything for my mildish acne. I must say, my face is feeling pretty tingly and cool. I just washed with the SA then the BP like in the instructions, and nothing else. After my face dried it looks like I should use some moisturizer, although it's usually like that right after I wash my face.

I've been on this regime for a week. I like the combo which leaves me a cool, tingly feeling and afterwards I'd usually add Sodium Sulfacetamide 10% and Sulfur 5% lotion to further prevent acne and it works like a charm. No break outs or anything and it helps reducing redness/rosacea on my face.

So I just started this bp & sa facewash regimen...I have done alot of research about the affects of using both in combination. I found several derm websites that offer sa wash/sa treatment/bp treatment as a pack to be used together. I have read that combinations of both can harm your skin but alot of derm sites have this combo as their acne regimen so I am going for it. It's day three i am a bit itchy, but no new zits. I also use a sa spot treatment on existing pimples and bp spot treatment on certain areas. So far so good. Hoping this works! I don't think I have ever been 100% clear since birth.

It's been a week, and I haven't had anything, not even an initial breakout. I still get little whiteheads that are barely noticeable, I really have to look up close to notice them there, and they disappear within a day. I use both twice a day, and I keep the BP on for one to two minutes. When I first started, it felt like my lips were getting really dry and a bit swollen, but it does say on the tube for the BP to keep away from eyes, mouth, and lips, and I wasn't really being careful the first few times. Now my lips are pretty much back to normal.

The marks left from previous acne haven't gone away yet, although I suppose that's because there's nothing special in this treatment to make your marks heal faster, it just makes it so you don't get any new ones, letting your old ones heal up. My skin feels really soft after washing though.

you are right, this won't really help red marks, it will help you not have breakouts. One of things that helped me with the white heads is exfoliation in between the SA and the BP. I use a washcloth in my sig that is awesome for getting that top layer off, and really helps with the products absorbing into your skin. The baby brush method is good, but this works better for me.

SA doesnt help with marks? really?

ive been using neutrogena's advanced system for the past month and got pretty good results. the wash in it is 0.5% SA.

it was AMAZING in getting rid of marks!. i actually had a quarter sized mark on my chin from falling and it got rid of it within 3 weeks!.

im now on the botchla regimen. havent had any new pimples for three days. face looks amazing, and marks heal even faster!.

SA and BP do take about a month to work though.

the reason? idk, they should start working off the bat but they dont. when i was on the neutrogena system, i kept getting better and better every week. now im on botchla and i havent had any new bumps (hopefully it lasts)!.

the dryness will last for 4 weeks, MAX.

i also use Olay complete with spf 15 and a 2.0% CVS SA wash for bacne if that matters.

good that you have had those results, haven't seen much help with SA and red marks -especially only at .5% - AHA's are more known for that. Congrats.

so I have been doing this for a week now and my skin is dry with teeny tiny bumps all over it? Is this a reaction to this...has anyone else experienced this? does it go away with time or should i stop using these products together? I use both washes morn/night. I broke down and scrubbed my face with a washcloth it itched so badly....gasp.gif

not in this high a concentration......my skin is so dry now...the itching is unbelievable. I am hoping it will get used to the combo and move on. Maybe I need more moisturizer. I don't use one at night so I'll start with that. I was using dan's regimen and it had the same affect.

do the wash with the 2 cleansers once a day - then build your way up. Leave the 10% bp on just for 30 seconds and work your way up - it is too harsh and you may have a reaction to it. Sounds like you are right now.

I'll try it. I skipped the bp wash this morning...thought I'd try it once a day for a while and see if my tolerance builds thanks. otherwise I might scratch my face off soon. but i guess I won't have to worry about acne if i don't have skin eusa_doh.gif

you guys should work your way up to both washes twice a day.

i do that and i dont have any dry skin right now.

it took about a month to train my skin, though (with other SA and BP products).

i could probably even go withouth a moisturizer, but my skin is a little tight and just a tinyy bit flakey on my cheeks. a little olay complete spf 15 gets rid of everything.

i actually wash for a longggg time with each wash. the SA i just keep rubbing probably until it turns drier (about 2 min) and with the BP i just rub until im satisfied (probably 2 minutes too; i dont it really matters how long you rub when it comes to dryness; either it dries or it doesnt).

another recommendation. WASH WITH THIS SHIT WHEN YOURE IN THE SHOWER! seriously, the BP wash is deadly for your eyes. you THINK youve washed it off, but you havent when youre over the sink. if it gets in your eyes, prepare for 15 minutes of crying hell. ive been taking two showers a since i started on saturday. helps with my bacne too.

current status: 0 active pimples, 4 "underground" dead pimples. one blackhead on nose. a lot of those microbumps (TINY whiteheads that have hard yellow things in them) have come out greatly in nose area.
