I think I've dumped the junk in the trunk. All that is left is a scab.

That's good to hear. What about the marks that take so long to fade? What's your remedy?

^^^^

I wait it out.

I do not tan them as tanning makes these scars and marks look worse.

It takes about a year to go away and fade. I still have one brown splotch from almost 2 years ago.

Does the red mark on your buttocks even matter? Are you a lingerie model?

curing butt pimples is the same way you cure face pimples. have you tried GLA (in Borage Oil?), that is very effective for skin.

Funny you mention it. I am an entertainer (ie "exotic dancer"). I work nude, so yeah, it does matter. I had to take 3 days off because of the damned thing. I make several hundred to several thousand per night. When I miss work, I lose A LOT of money.

I cover the leftover scar with Dermablend. I feel insecure about it still.

The ones I get probably are from staph bacteria rather than p. acnes, according to beentheredonethat. My cheeks sit on couches at work, and that's how I get them. Yes, I know that's gross. Accutane does not combat staph.

A pimple on your ass bothers you? Who's gonna see it anyways?

Uhhh...use your imagination! If you're female and in a healthy sexual relationship-someone is gonna see them! lol.gif

I was on accutane and it never stopped these fuckers. Right now I use 1% SA (Clean n Clear) and it seems to work better than enything else. I used to use BP but the ass of my PJs always got bleached and I'm still trying to explain that one to my boyfriend! Or else, I ended up sleepign naked and my sheets are now 5 shades lighter on my side of the bed. rolleyes.gif

Never tried the polysporin though...maybe I should. Staph infection, you say? That sounds so dirty...is there no shot for this? I was so embarrassed about DUDES ( lol.gif ) that I never even mentioned this problem to my GP or my derm. Maybe I should...but I don't exactly want to drop my pants and bend over either! eusa_snooty.gif

Aha. Well. Yesterday I saw that I had a bunch of little red marks on my butt. I was afraid it was acne, but I actually think now that they're bug bites. I was working out in the garden for about two hours (wearing shorts) the other day. I also have bites all over my leg. They itch like crazy. sad.gif

Have you tried to talk to your dermatologist about this? Maybe there's something he can do. Good luck comfort.gif

While at my monthly Accutane visit, I asked my derm about my ass pimple. She said it's probably from staph and to put Bactrim on it. Bactrim is like Neosporin except 10x stronger.

Beentheredonethat knows her stuff!

You need a script. sad.gif

Last night, the manager (female) inspected my ass to make sure it was "stripper worthy." She also needed a note from my doctor that at this stage of the infection, I am not contagious so that other women do not get staph ass pimples too.

Welcome to my world.

This has been interesting for me to read since I too get those Dudes. The only thing I have thought to do was exfoliate and I have used the Proactiv Body Wash stuff, but neither of these seem to do anything. I guess I will try the anti-bacterial angle now. It makes sense since these dudes don't really act like other acne. I just found this "remedy" http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/2173.html. Or google, folliculitis.

I just found some others with the same quandry. http://www.skincell.org/yabbse/index.php?P...17677.msg240044 but with some new ideas.

I'm really looking into this at the moment and found some more interesting diagnoses and forums. Keratosis Pilaris is another name for it, maybe...?
