Bring on the dry lips baby....

So I'm halfway done with my 30-day pack. I know this sounds nasty I still haven't washed my hair.....it really dosen't need it....but I will either tonight after the gym or tomorrow morning........
My lip dryness isn't that big of a deal really....I just keep putting on Aquaphor, and they stay soft and smooth. I noticed the skin around my eyes is a little dry....so I've been using an eye cream, which really helps, it's amazing how much longer eyeshadow lasts when your eyelids aren't oily.....I no longer need to wash my face, but I do once a day out of habit I guess......
My skin is def. clearing up. I still have some pimples, and a cyst on my cheek, which will be injected the next time I see my derm.....but the rest of my skin looks soft and smooth.....as far as an initial breakout goes.....I'm still waiting....I still can feel hundreds, possibly thousands of comedos, but I don't think they are all going to become inflamed.....they seem to be falling out like little grains of sand.............I've got this thing by my nose....it's little, and rock hard......and OMG it hurts........
My life is so not being affected at all by the side effects.....if anything I can spend less time in the shower since I don't have to wash my hair more than once a week.....I've been to the gym every day this week, and have no soreness or body aches.........
I wonder what 40mg will be like......hopefully my derm will increase my dosage.........

Well remember that washing your face isn't just to get rid of sebum, but also to clear off the grime and pollution that winds up on it through the course of the day. I'm personally quite sensitive to airborne pollutants on my facial skin.

I should have said I no longer feel the need to wash my face......I only wash at night now.....especially since I go to the gym, and play with chemicals in a dusty lab all day at work.........
What's funny is my perfect skinned fiance hardly ever washes his face....he says sometimes he uses shampoo or body wash in the shower, but only if he gets dirt on his face at work...........

So This morning I woke up and my face was covered in these little hard crusty bumps. I went to the gym to do my cardio, came home and took a shower......when I dried of my face with a towel....I noticed the little crusty bums were rubbing off.......there were hundreds of these little grainey things coming out of my pores.....My cyst is now a small hard nodule, and seems to be pushing itself out.......
My skin is smooth and looks really clear.....I only have one active lesion left, and it seems like it's on it's way out......I do have some redmarks but they are fading really fast.....
I've noticed my tan from over the summer is fading and almost non-existant which usually takes months...
And my lips are turning a beautiful shade of crimnson (time for some more aquaphor), but no peeling or cracking....just a little tightness......

My skin situation is doing very well. My face is almost clear. My nodule on my cheek finally dried out and fell off (yes fell off) over the weekend. I have a small papule on my chin, a few tiny little pustules (like the size of a grain of sand).....
I did have another cyst pop up yeasterday.....but it's in my eyebrow, and is covered partially by my eyebrow itself, and the other half is covered by my hair, which I'm waering down (at least for today anyway).
Asided from a slight bumpy texture my skin feels the way it did in highschool, before the oil started....My skin isn't the least bit dry.......
My lips are the same as they've been.....they are fine as long as I keep applying aquaphor.....and only a little tight when I don't...
Last night I started feeling a crushing tighntness in my chest.....it kind felt like I had food stuck in my throat.....I woke up with the same feeling....but in addition my heart felt like it was racing and my hands and feel were kinda numb feeling......
I got to work and just felt kinda lightheaded, and nervous like something really big was about to happen.....
Well it did....(I'm really good at predicting big stuff like that....I usually feel "sick" right before something huge happens)
I found out my company is laying off 250 people from the US (it's an international company). Although I hate my job (more so my boss), I kinda like my benifits and salary.......I do have a second part time job, but it's not nearly enough to supoort me......I have no clue what's going to happen.......
Great time to lose your benifits right?

The cyst by my eyebrow is throbbing, and big, red and angry. The papule on my chin became a nodule over night. And I have something growing on my left cheek......but other than a few additional small pustules....my face is pretty clear. It feels soft and smooth and not the least bit oily, or dry......
Last night I had that pain in my chest again.......It hurt so bad that it woke up me out of a dream about having gallbladder surgery.......It was the same pain I had last night but way worse.........
Other than that I'm doing well..........
I'm going to ask my derm if he'll up my dosage to maybe 60mg so I can finish my course sooner, since I don't know how long I'll have insurance...........

As for the chest pain, I would tell my Dr...just in case...

That's kind of disconcerting both about the crushing pain and the job...sorry to hear about both...how many ppl work at your lab/office? I hope that works out but I bet you would get another great job right away with your qualifications...
As for the chest pain, I would tell my Dr...just in case...
I was spared.......out of my whole company (US only) it was about 250 (8%). From R&D it was about 10 out of 120......which works out to be about 8%.......
It's so scary to work for a company that is in big financial trouble.....we're like the laughing stock of Wall Street ($1.10 a share).......another lay-off is expected in December........so I'm ok for the next three months.....

Do you know I can get litmus paper? I'm using Paula Begoun's regimen for acne, and she says BHA works best in a pH something (I forget the number but it's in the book) and a concentration of 1%-2%. I found a 1% solution but I doubt it's pH balanced-alcholo is high up on the ingredient list. Oh well...it seems to be helping...

I'm almost done with my first month. I'm clearing, but slowly. I'm still breaking out, but instead of 8-10 cysts a week it's like 1 or 2 nodules, and a few small pustules a week.......my skin feels smooth and my pores look smaller......I'm not that dry at all, my lips are starting to crack so I've started using Dr. Dans, under my aquaohor, and I've decided that aquaphor isn't that great....I like this other stuff I got a while ago......Rite-Aid Hydrating Healing Ointment......it's similar to Aquaphor, but seems to stay on longer, and keeps the moisture in a little better........
My hair is getting really dry....I'm thinking of cutting it a little shorter (it's more then halfway down my back)....just to get some of the dry ends off......

This is where we get our lab stuff at work......they have litmus paper......

I got my last cyst in month 5, but was clear everywhere else. It takes a while...
Persoanlly, I think accutane slowed down the rowth rate of my hair. It seems to take FOREVER to grow now (or maybe it's just me) but anyway, you might want to hold off cutting a lot of length off your hair right now.
Keep on truckin'!
