I got hold of a sample of Eucerin Dry Skin Relief Face Cream with 5% Urea so thought I'd try it because people on this forum rave about it. I can see why some people would like it - a small amount does spread very far and it left my skin soft and well moisturised. Something I particularly noticed was that in the UK's current cold snap my skin goes red after I put my usual moisturiser (Simple Shine Manager Moisturiser) on but with Eucerin my skin stayed its normal colour.
I won't be spending £10 on a bottle though, even though I'm sure that would last for ages. It left a slightly oily residue on my skin, even though I kept rubbing it in to try and get it to absorb. I didn't even use all of the tiny little sample sachet but I think even that was probably too much. The skin quickly got even more greasy throughout the day. It reminded me a lot of E45 Moisturising Lotion, which is much cheaper. It even smells a bit like E45, but even worse. I think it's great that it's unperfumed but to be frank it smells like a mixture of E45 and piss - not nice to have under your nose all the day. Simple moisturisers are unperfumed and don't really smell of anything.
So I might see if I can squeeze out the last tiny remains of the stuff from the sample sachet tomorrow and see if using much less is better, but I'm not hopeful. I'm planning to try Biore Shine Control Moisturiser (available right now on the cheap from superdrug) and I'll post my review once I've tried it.

all the uk'ers use this that are on the CSR Regimen and love it including myself
sure its the FACE version?
it doesnt leave my skin greasy at all.
but at the end of the day its a moisturiser so it does leave a bit of a difference when it comes to skin texture.
and also it wont PREVENT skin from becoming greasy. no moisturiser can do this im affraid.
this moisturiser serves to keep skin hydrated after application of benzoyl peroxide and does this job very well in my opinion

I agree with Damien - doesn't leave my skin greasy either, although you can tell that you've moisturiser on if you touch your face (which you shouldn't really do). Not greasy though, IMO.

Yes I'm sure it's the face version. Simple Shine Manager Moisturiser does indeed prevent my skin becoming greasy, although it's not 100% perfect I now appreciate how good it is when compared to Eucerin. Like you say Dami4n, different moisturisers will effect different skin textures in different ways. Most people on the regimen seem to have dry rather than oily skin and I suppose Eucerin is ideal for them. But if like me you've got oily skin which is still in need of moisturising after bp, then you really need an oil control moisturiser. Eucerin is not suitable.

But you're on accutane! Also you're a girl so you can put make up over the top. For me the moisturiser is the 'final look' so a mattifying oil control moisturiser is best.

almost any moisturizer is going to make you look shiney...
what I would do (If i were a guy) is put on a translucent powder...With no color..
And just put it lightly on the areas I needed it in the morning....

its all down to your skins ability to hold moisture, urea helps this process but if you tend to have oily skin anyway, then expect a shine from applying ANY type of face lotion/cream/moisturiser.

I love my mattifying moisturiser. It seems to work better now I'm using a gentle liquid cleanser and 2.5% bp. It leaves me looking really matte for hours!
