Mom went to the pharmacy for me yesterday, and got the 5%, like I asked her to. So I'm going to apply only half a finger, for now. I couldn't wait anymore. Don't want my face to severly breakout. I already have a couple of hicups to take care of her.

Face at the moment: Those whiteheads are gone, the blemish got smaller, though, I have one new blemish on the right side of my forehead (I think this is the 3rd blemish I get on my forehead in my entire life, it's always clear) and one new whitehead on my nose. So two little hicups + the blemish that is on my cheek, which is dying out.

Going to slap on the BP, right now.

Edit to update: Well the Benoxyl isn't as thick as the On-the-spot. It's much more liquidish. Don't know if that's a good, bad, or irrelevant thing. Anyway, BP is applied. Put a good fingers worth since I felt I needed more in order to cover the whole face. Gonna wait 5 minutes and apply the moisturizer (I had already cleansed before my first post).

Truth be told, I'm a little uneasy about this new BP. I hate changing product when the one I'm used to applying, worked great. We'll see what happens.

Day 64
Ok, here's the deal. I find that it takes a finger and a half of Benoxyl in order to cover my face. It goes on real easy, and it didn't seem to make me as irritated as the On-the-spot. This is all great news. Though, I'm still not completely sold. I'm a very skeptical person when it comes to acne products. But, I'm going to try it out for a week. We'll see what happens.

I woke up today, and applied the CSR, again. Going to do it twice a week to make up for the applications I've lost. In order to get my face under control again.

Day 65/66/67
So far, so good. Had a couple of whiteheads (one due to shaving, the other probably was waiting to burst out all this time I've been off the CSR), that didn't last too long. The twins are all gone. And I did a nice 10% peel, yesterday. Face is looking very good. Scars are starting to fade, as well.

Hi Yezzir,
How's it going?

So the Benoxyl is working out okay for you?

^It's really too early to tell, Brand'. I'm still trying to get back to clear skin. Once/if I get there, I'll be able to determine if the new brand of BP is able to keep my acne at bay. Because that's basically the important part.
So far though, I have no complaints. It goes on much easier than OTS, it irritates my skin much less, and it seems to be doing the trick. Only thing that bothers me, is like I said, it's not as thick as the OST, and that always makes me wonder if this BP will be just as effective as the OTS. I know it's probably irrelevant, but still.

I have a question for you, Brand'. When one is on the CSR, what is the best percentage to get your peeling done at? 50%? I'm looking for a number that won't irritate the skin too much, but will do a significant job, nonetheless. Thanks in advance.

Day 68
Only two white heads to report (between nose and upper-lip). These were caused by shaving. Everything else is fine biggrin.gif

Day 69, 70, 71, 72
Did a 10% peel, again. Had to fight a couple of new blemishes. One near my left sideburn, one near my right temple. Been a while since I've have any type of acne surface, over there. The new BP is good. But not AS good as OTS. I miss that stuff. Right now, only 1 active blemish, that's fading away (one near my sideburn). I really need a serious peel, though. The "twins" left some almost blackish red marks. My scars have been fading, though. I think a 50% peel at the derm's office, would help a great deal.

Hey Yezzir, just read your whole log. Did any of the pharmacies get OTS yet? If not, that's just ridiculous it'd take that long confused.gif

My problem right now is my moisturizer, I'm trying to find a good one and I haven't tried the Cetaphil one yet. I guess you must like it to have used it this long, but does it really hydrate your skin well? I've heard some criticisms about it being too greasy, do you think it is? I'm using the Aveeno Ultra Calm moisturizer right now and it's just not doing the trick sad.gif

Anyway, I hope you can get your skin back under control again, good luck!

Hey Tiger, thanks for stopping through my log. No, I think the product has been discontinued, here. I'm going to be contaction Neutrogena, tomorrow. Just to confirm. I'm really not about to order online, and pay shipping and handling charges, when the tube itself is expensive for it's size.

Moisturizer, yes, cetaphil is what I stick with. It was too "greasy", until I only started applying a small amount of it. Works for me, give it a try smile.gif

Thanks, and good luck to you.

Day 73 and 74
No new blemishes/whiteheads to report. Only active one is the one near my sideburn, but even that one has begun to dry out. It's very soft. I'm planning to do another peel at the derm's this wednesday.

This log needs and update BADLY.

Days 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79 (today)
Ok, so here's what's going on. Remember where I had the triplets? Well, now another blemish arised close to that spot. Grrr. Right under my eye, and shit. Besides that, I had a whitehead here and there, but nothing major. Remember, I'm applying the CSR only at night. Tonight, I'm going for a peeling. So I had to skip the application last night. I'm going to tell the derm' to really go hard on the 3-4 scars I have. Face looks good, just the red marks and scars here and there that tick me off.

As for the On The Spot, after a few phone calls, here and there, I found out what was going on. It is on back-order, every where in Canada. They will resume shipments in January. Still far away, but they WILL resume. That's the good news. I spoke directly to a Neutrogena/Johnson and Johnson representative.

Hey Yezzir,
Good update, and thanks for looking into the Neutrogena on-the-spot situation. I had gotten a few emails from Canadians wondering about it, so I appreciate your looking into the problem.
People can always order the CSR gel, it will ship to Canada just fine.

I hope this peel doesn't break you out like the last one! keep me posted!

Thanks, Brand'. And it's my pleasure. I'm sure Canadians have been going crazy looking for the OTS. I mean, look at me for example. And my face isn't even half as bad as some people's. I could only imagine how aggravating it was for them. Hopefully, they can tough it out a little longer. As for the post-peel-breakout, I hope so, as well. I been moisturizing like hell, as to prevent that from happening. Also, thanks again for the list of BP alternatives.

Day 80 & 81
Face is clear, except for that new one that appeared 4 days ago. I had my chemical peel, 70%, and the lady (who I love) left it extra longer on my [4] icepicks. Though, the one active blemish I had, really got red and irritated, as well. Lady had to put some cream on it (first time this happens to me) in order to help the redness go down. Besides that, everything else went great. We're Friday, now, and the 2 icepicks I had on my left cheek, are almost gone. Face looks healthy, as well. The lady was the previous girl who used to handle my peels. Then, another lady came in, while she was on vacation, and I sticked with her. Than, the new lady, after a year, left (like I stated earlier in the log) and I went back to this lady, for the first time, on Wednesday. And she told me that they're cousins! Small clinic ROFL. They're both amazing. I'm in good hands (no pun).
So yeah, I didn't apply the CSR on Wednesday night, I didn't do it on Thursday morning (only washed with cleanser and moisturized) and finally went back to it last night. This morning, I decided to apply it, as well. Want to make sure I don't get the post-peel-breakout. I'm going to do it tonight, as well, and continue to do it twice a day, until I'm sure I'm passed the post-peel-breakout stage. Then, I'll go back to the nightly application, only.

I'm coming up on 3 months! Even though, I had to get off the CSR a couple of times, due to inconveniences. So, my clear goal is now 4 months, just to make sure. But, my face looks great. I'll have a pimple, here and there, now and then, but the CSR has done a phenomenal job keeping breakouts at bay. I never though, that when I created this log 3 months ago, I'd be here today, typing inspirational stuff like this, today. Even after switching to applying the CSR, nightly, only. It is the perfect solution for those who have mild/moderate acne, that is stubborn. Trust me. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; CSR + monthly chemical peels, will have your skin looking back to normal. Occasional pimple, will still prevail, but that's better than painful and depressing breakouts, anyday.
