Hey. I put pure ACV on my face for 3 minutes and washed it off with cold water. I don't notice any improvements yet.

ACV is really smelly... smells like sweaty feet. lol.gif How do you get rid of the odor? Do you guys just use it at night and the smells gone when you wake-up?

why did u wash it off? And u dont put it on and then BAM all red marks are gone no. I either put 5-/50 Water and ACV or just pure ACV on my face and leave it on .. i do this soemtimes 3 times a day.

It does not smell like that.

What do u mean get rid of the color?

yo pumpkin,

has using ACV stopped oil production on your face? it sure has done it to mine lol (i hope its not permanent either cause i want my face to be oily in the future).

this is really strange, it seems like the same thing happened to me! i can't imagine why though... how strange. when i wake up, my nose is really shiny from oil and stuff, but yesterday night i applied the acv and when i woke up, my nose was DRY.. it was the strangest thing ever because my nose is so greasy

huh? Didn't say anything abou "the color".

Anyway, I use Heinze Pure Apple Cider Vinegar (5% acetic acid by volume). And yeah, I washed it off, but it took awhile for the smell to fade away on its own.

Hopefully, this works well... hehehhe

well everyone's skin is different and reacts to certain things differently .. i think you skin is more sensitive and it just needs to adjust to the ACV .. just do ur normal regimen of using BP but before using BP just put the ACV on just as you would any toner then wait 15 min and use BP

yes, i have!! i carry around blotting paper everywhere because my nose gets an oily-sheen layer every couple hours. it's almost 4:00pm here, and I've only blotted once today. I really really hope this isn't just a temporary effect!! I haven't been doing anything new to my skin other than the ACV, so it probably is due to the acv toner. this is amazing! thanks SO much for the suggestion, it's ridiculously effective. one of my redmarks has actually completely faded (it was small to start with, but still), and i think i see a change in the other redmarks. fantastic suggestion really.

hey cucumber! i have a big problem with oiliness on my face too. how do you use ACV? do you use it neat, or mix it with water (what ratio?)? did you leave it on for say 10 minutes then wash off, or just leave it on all night?

thanks! i don't want to have to blot my face so often:(

you just use 100% ACV and apply it on your face with a cotton pad. just leave it on your face, it dries quick and the smell goes away. you dont need to wash it off.

i do it 1:1 water:acv and leave it on, don't wash it off. i put it on 1-3 times a day. but then again, the only part of my face that's really oily is my nose and the cheek area adjacent to the nose.

this is so amazing, pumpkin! again, thank you sooo much. it's almost 12am now, and by this time i can actually see the oil seeping out of my pores, but right now, i don't and it's absolutely fantastic. THANKS!!

hey pumpkin and nec77, thanks for the quick replies! i can't really afford to put ACV on my face like 3x a day, because i have school and all. however, now that you guys talk about ACV reducing sebum, i remember about a week ago, i tried putting ACV on my face for like 10 minutes before washing it off (cause the smell was so damn bad). the next day my nose was unusually NOT oily. i hadn't thought it had anything to do with the ACV, because i only put it on for such a short while. but after that the oiliness came back. i hadn't changed anything in my regime throughout that period, and now on hindsight i'm pretty sure it had something to do with the ACV. i will keep trying it again, and tell you guys how it works out;)

i know the smell is kind of bad .. but it is worth it .. you get use to it afetr awhile. I dont think no amt. of essential oil will reduce the smell probobly only make it worse. Although doing 50/50 with water does reduce the smell alot .. so u might as well do that if u can't handle pue ACV, the only thing is it may take longer to see results.

If your going to school just doing as often as you can when you come home .. are you in college or HS?

pumpkin, i'm still in high school. i'm 16;) i start school at 7.20am and usually come home at around 2pm. i have my shower at 7pm, and immediately after that i put moisturizer on my face, so it's impossible to put on the ACV anytime after that.

i'll see how to works out leaving the ACV on for a while then washing it off first;)
