So last night, with my dinner, I took one 40 mg Sotret pill. I will continue to do that for a month, and then go back to my derm to see what he wants me to do next. When I went to visit him, he just walked in, didn't say a word, looked at my face, wrote the prescription, handed it to me and walked out. It was kind of strange.

So anyways, I will upload pics monthly, in my accutane gallery, and i'll update in here if I start experiencing any side effects.

u finally got accutane , im really happy for u that u convinced the doctor ... good luck with accutane it shouldnt take long to see effects. dont forget ur lip balm!

Yes, derms can be pretty mean sometimes .. but hey, at least he gave me accutane

Ok so ... this is my uh .. 6th day I think? oh my god i'm so bad at this. So anyways. I have a pretty decent sized fat cyst on my left cheek. And quite a few scattered zits on my cheeks. But my forehead .. wow. Honestly, I can't remember the last time it looked so nice. All the clogged pores I had there, GONE. My face is starting to get super dry.


The only thing is my face is so sore, and it's the only sore part of my body. It feels like I got punched in the nose, and the chin. Owwww.


So I have exczema on one part of my face. Along my temple, and it's only on the right side. I used to have it on both right, and left. I used elidel for a while, but the right side is very persistent while I don't have a problem anymore on the left side. I hope sticking with a good moisturizer will keep it minimized .. since it isn't that bad. I've been keeping it moisturized all the time. I might have to start using elidel again though. I wonder if anyone has gone on accutane who has exczema.


So can all of you reccomend some moisturizers to me?

Good luck sweetie. I am (hopefully) starting tane in mid-August, so by then, I am sure you will not think your face is a mess anymore!

yea ur right , but i mean it works good though! and it doesnt irritate skin like some other moisturizers do.
u didnt squeeze did u ? well tell u something , before i was on accutane i had a pretty deep scar and now after like nearly 2 months its a shallow scar , i dont if accutane helped it or it healed itself...
but if u pop something accidently use neo cream.

have you tried that eucerin renewal lotion that's been discontinued? i'm sure you can find some on ebay or something

I still have some left over from my course like 3 unopened boxes .......some other ppl hoarded them and ordered like 20 lol

but hey happy your on your way to clear skin .........don't worry bout your scarring yet kill that acne first then the scars one thing atta time
