And even then, I've never had luck with those creams.
My suggestion is to give it a little time, and see what happens with the coloration. It should stop being red within a couple-few months.
Using a product like Mandelic acid may help you, especially at an early "fresh" scar stage, but be prepared for more aggravation and possibly more redness.
Wait till it heals, then determine what to do from there.
In the meantime, use a good lotion like a copper peptide based serum on it.
Others may agree or disagree. Listen to what other people say, because we all have different success and experience with our scars.

If someone has 1 scar or 1000 scars they are welcome here - everyone has a right to help and support. Please everyone, people's hearts and emotions are fragile, please treat everyone with total respect.
yungwn - please, I apologise on behalf of the board for the disrespect shown to you.
The mandelic acid serum seems to be showing great promise - take a look at the thread. If your cyst is still alive, I suggest you leave the tape method for a while. You don't need surgery, try the mandelic first.

Unfortunately there is really no cream that can fill a scar. The closest thing that might help would be many months of using super CP Serum or Super Cop cream. I would be very careful in using these though, since you have had acne recently. Make sure to do a test spot of the serum or cream for about a week or two to make sure that it doesn't break you out. You can get the serum or cream from Skin Biology. Do a search on the internet to find out more info on them. Hope that helps.

All this guy is doing is looking for help
Yes he just has ONE scar ...so what?
i do have one from a cyst that i want to get rid of t0o
Maya was right...and i feel good for her getting rid of those post
Now as to answering ur questions.
I believe retin-a micro works good in removing the redness and scars..
It has for me...maybe becouse it was my first use but it made me peel
.Other than that try some peels to soften the scar..then u can op for excission , subcission then followed by dermabrasion...that should remove it 100 percent
U gotta be positive ...anything can happen. Also did u ask ur derm why u couldnt do anything about the scar? Is it becouse of ur skin pigment and healing down time?

Now that Mrs. Goebbels has deleted half the thread, I'm done posting.
One last thing though, and I'm sure this will be deleted too.
If you have one or two scars and you are really depressed because of them, then you are a vain person and want to get them fixed so you can be "seen".
If you are severely scarred, you are wanting to get them fixed so that you can be *normal*, and ultimately trying *not* to be "seen".
HUGE difference in the motivations.

heh, you are confusing public forums with private forums. when i say forum, i don't mean specifically an internet forum (i.e. acne.org forum), i mean a platform for speech. free speech, protected speech, exists in public forums, not private ones. this forum, can be considered a private one. the owner pays for it, (i think it's Dan right?) and he/she may regulate as they see fit. how would you like it if an ANTI-PEOPLE-WITH-SCAR group picketed outside your house and blared their message through loudspeakers? no, wouldn't like that? well lucky for you, the courts have distinguished between public and private forums, and that is not allowed.
arguments back and forth doesn't help our cause any, and i can see why Maya deleted it. she's a good mod, and i haven't felt she has overstepped her boundary.
yungwn is bothered by his scar, who are we to judge whether his feelings are justified. help out, or don't reply. plain and simple. his pain is real, that's all we need to know.
yungwn, maybe you can describe the scar more, or better yet a picture. is it a big pit? boxscar? for the really really deep scars, you wanna do a search on excision, subscision, needling. read all posts on the first 4 pages, you will learn a lot. the good threads tend to stick around on top.

Ok that was funny. I didn't read what was originally posted here but Maya is just doing her job.
Yungwn your cyst just went flat 2 weeks ago i'm afraid to say it, but you will have that red mark there, possibly it is indented, for the next 6-12 months. Live and learn.
If it is indented then give it a year then start treating it. Other than that you just have to live with it like the rest of us.
