I STARTED ACCUTANE IN MARCH... AND MY SKIN HAS NO IMPROVEMENT. IN THE BEGINING IT WAS SHOWING SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT, BUT NOW ITS JUST CRAP. I THOUGHT THIS STUFF IS SPOSED TO WORK?

ANYWAY, I WASNT ON THE PILL SO IM STARTING TOMORROW...OTHER THEN THAT, I ANNOYED IRRITATED AND HAVE LOST HOPE. IM ON 40MG A DAY AND IT HASNT DONE SHIT. I THINK ILL WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK AND IF NO IMPROVEMENT, IM STOPPING THE COURSE.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??? PLEASE HELP

try upping your dose depending on your weight you may be under dosed.

Is your derm aware you have had no improvement? What does
she/he say?

NO don't give up athena. When you stop your treatment right now all the trouble was for nothing. You should ask your derm if he can bump up your dosage. I'm sure it will work for you one day. Sure you are 4 month in but that does not mean that it doesn't work for you. The accutane needs time. I saw some good results after 3-4 months so it's not extraordinary that the accutnae takes a bit longer for some people to work .
SO Don't stop. Keep the good work up!

hi guys thanks for the support.. my last derm appointment was a few weeks ago and he saw that there was only minimal improvement in my skin, im not breaking out as much, but i have clogged painful pores that remain under my skin, he said that he cant up my dosage because i am a woman and he doesnt agree with upping dosages??? go figure..lnstead he told me that the original plan of being on accutan for only 6 months is now scrapped and i will be on it for a year. YAY. but he also advised me to start the contraceptive pill DIANE 35 ED apparently it helps clear the acne as well as being a safe contraceptive...anyway, thats about all, i pray that it works, im so tired of acne controling my life.. or , me allowing acne to control my life more like it..
