I joined this site a while ago and found it so helpful! I used a lot of the diet & holistic health suggestions and started using sensitive skin products and my skin improved a bit.

This past April I came back from Guatemala with a parasite friend eusa_sick.gif that would not go away. I didn't want to go the antibiotic route so I took ParaGone by Renew Life with good results, but at the same time my acne cleared up! After that I did a run of Yeast Assassin by Beeyoutiful.com & then I just finished a 30-day Colonix cleanse by DrNatura (you'd be amazed at what's in your colon!! eusa_shifty.gif ) & now I am just back to doing Yeast Assassin with Pysillium Husk (to keep everything moving).

It's unfortunate because at the same time, I started using Alba skin care products (cleanser, toner, lotion). So I can't say for sure which one did the trick. I'm hesitant to stop either because I had such bad acne before!! I have the scars to prove it!!

Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post or if this discussion is already underway, but my skin has never looked better! I have had no more large, painful, clumps of acne in since the end of April. I just have little bumps (at times) when I eat poorly or don't wash my face enough. I also still have some scarring for which I have been trying out Rapha Remedy by Long Life.

What symtoms did you have that made you think parasites?
When did you notice your acne gone-after the first cleanse Para Gone or after the second or the third ones? Do you think one has to do them all to get clear? How long did it take by the way? Thanks!

parasite friend? is that one of those people who make you drive them everywhere and never pay for petrol and eat all your food, and steal all your jokes... its just take take take isn't it! What's with alba making skin care products? Didn't they used to make cheapo walkmans with big old headphones that weighed your head down, any time you went outside people thought you were from air traffic control.

We all got sick on the same night with *yucky* really bad diarrhea, chills, nausea, cramping, & really bad bloating. Everything I ate for nearly two weeks (and even after when I was doing the Paragone) straight went straight through me. Through talking with other people, my doctor, and reading articles, I came to the conclusion that I had traveler's diarrhea which is caused by a parasite. biggrin.gif

Actually if you google search Dr Natura and Colinix cleansing (same site) you'll find that person believes that most people have parasites. I think there's some truth in that!

QUOTE

I noticed it clearing up within the first two weeks of paragone. I have nearly tried everything over the past 10 years (except Accutane). I don't want to make any claims, but all I know is that I had acne before and now I don't.

All of the cleanses I did were herbal & were meant to kill parasites and yeast. Many homeopaths/naturopaths feel that yeast overgrowth in gut is the cause of many skin and health problems. So perhaps I had the parasite problem, but I also had an underlying yeast problem and getting that under control was what did the trick? The herbs used to kill parasites and yeast are: Caprylic Acid, Pau D'Arco, & Black Walnut, & Cloves. There are others but I believe those are the must-haves.

QUOTE

I don't think you'd have to do all three. That first one I did was really strong. (It was gross too!) I actually only did the half-strength & only one 15 day cycle because it was so much work. There's pills & a tincture that you have to take. I am just doing maintenance Yeast Assassin now. Even if your skin doesn't clear up, the cleanses are really good for you.

I am actually afraid to stop using them because I don't want my acne to come back!!

They definitely came everywhere with me, but they really didn't like any of the food I liked AT ALL & 10 minute transit time from mouth to you know is no joke. biggrin.gif The only thing that was really 'friendly' about them, was they helped me to lose a few pounds!

Here's the site: http://www.albabotanica.com/ I was recommended to them by someone who swears by them. I use Coconut Milk Facial Wash, Hibiscus Facial Toner Sea, & Moss Moisturizer with antioxidants and SPF 15. They are really nice!!

Has anyone else had any success with parasite or yeast cleanses? Or maybe is there another post that I'm missing??... Thanks!

I use the coconut milk facial wash too... It's pretty good haha. I like Aubrey Organics Vitamin C gel cleanser better, but oh well. I'm gonna get the Alba Sea Algae cleanser next haha.

Can't say they've helped my acne, but they do fall in with my philosophy of not using any harsh ingredients on my skin.

Paragone is good, also, Colosan and other oxygen promoting products kill parasites too. I passed several full grown ascaris after taking Colosan for 2 weeks straight....I wasn't doing a parasite kill, though I'd done them before and had never passed any parasites that could be seen with the naked eye.

The only times I've passed parasites is when I've done liverflushing, taken Colosan, and done enemas laced with oregano oil...(I did the latter after passing the large ascaris and I knew if there were adults that big, there were babies, and I was right!.)

Personally, I think everyone should do a parasite cleanse at some point, acne or no acne, ESPECIALLY if you've travelled internationally (which I have).

Unfortunately, I can't really say for sure. My skin cleared up after about two weeks of the Paragone. But I also switched to a sensitive skin regimine. I also continued (after the paragone) with Yeast Assassin too which I plan to take long term (for about 6 months) with a probiotic.

Just to warn you--parasite cleanser taste very yucky and they may upset your stomach. It is recommended that you not eat yeasty, sugary things to help the cleanse. In my experience: they do taste yucky and if you cheat on the diet recommendations it'll still work.

All I can say is that it worked for me. Paragone is about 30$ for the box. I did one half the dose for 15 days. I guess 30$ isn't too much of a risk to experiment with.

I agree with Denise2 here!! Our yeasty diet is the perfect feeding ground for overgrowth.

I've heard good things about Aubrey Organics too. So maybe it was the cleanse that helped my acne. I wasn't sure if it was the

The herbs used to kill parasites and yeast are: Caprylic Acid, Pau D'Arco, & Black Walnut, & Cloves. So you'll want to look for these. Colonix clease is a parasite cleanse AND colon cleanse. It costs 75$ for a 30-day supply. I was very pleased with the results. wink.gif Paragone is just a parasite cleanse. My skin cleared up after the paragone.

I think Renew life products (were I got the paragone) are very user friendly and have first time flushes. You could check out there website here: http://www.renewlife.com/

Ewww!! I haven't seen anything that looks like a parasite in my cleanses. During the Colonix cleanse I saw really strange thick stringy, liver looking things come out (you can see pictures on the website). It was very gross!! I'm trying to work up the nerve (and the time & discipline) to do a liver flush.

I'll have to look into Colosan...

Well, keep in mind that with Colosan, that it's the OXYGEN that kills the bacteria and parasites. No one was more shocked than I was when I passed SEVERAL 2 foot long white ascaris!!!!!!!!! I even got one from my bm with a plastic fork and put it on a paper plate and showed it to my husband when he got home! eusa_sick.gif eusa_shifty.gif eusa_doh.gif It was so UNBELIEVABLE. I had no symptoms and I have no idea where it came from. I knew that if there were the big adults there, there had to be babies. I did a few oregano oil enemas and got out several dozen one and two inch white worms..... shock.gif

Crazy! Absolutely CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW.......my understanding is that the regular parasite cleanse herbal concoction doesn't kill ascaris.....you can take a high doseage of CO-Q10 and that is supposed to kill ascaris.....but I swear, I wasn't expecting to pass those suckers. I had no clue. I was only doing a bit of cleansing with the Colosan....

So Denise did you do anything so that you were sure to get them all out or did you keep doing the enema until you saw no more? How much oregano and which brand did you use to get see the ones you saw? Im not looking forward to meeting my parasites but I know that I must have some too. I have hypoglycemia and spoke with Julia Chang, she says she had hypo too until she did a parasite cleanse, she saw lots of earth worm looking ones.. ewww.

No, it really only took maybe 2 enemas to get them out, from what I can tell. I only used about 10-15 drops of oregano oil, especially if it's a strong brand that has the mediterranean wild oregano extract in a base of olive oil. You just have to make sure it's in a base of olive oil, which I think all of them are, as oregano oil is extremely strong.

Just understand that you may not pass any that you can see with the naked eye......I did many parasite cleanses for many years and NEVER SAW ONE.....the only time I saw them was on 3 occasions:

1. Doing a 21 day raw juice fast and did coffee enemas and passed a 1 inch bug with antennas and legs on both sides of its' body

2. Doing a liverflush

3. Taking Colosan

Weird, but true........

I believe you can paralyze ascaris worms with freshly juiced pineapples. That, raw pumpkin seeds, and anti-parasitic herbs should kill those suckers.

Not from what I've read, that's not true. You can kill other kinds of parasites like that, but not ascaris...again....not from what I've read. They are the most stubborn.

Thanks Denise,
hey Im interested in the bug with antennas-that doesnt sound like the usual flat worm or round worm, any idea what it was? Also curious but did you notice any health benefits after passing the parasites?

I havn't a clue what the bug with the legs and antenna was.....I saw the best results after doing a lot of internal cleansing/detoxing (bowel and heavy metal) and most importantly liverflushing. You just have to get it in your head that nothing improves overnight. It took me 6 months of liverflushing and detoxing before I got and stayed clear. Now, I break out sometimes if my candida gets out of control again, but otherwise, I've been clear for a coupla years.

I had already done years and multiple years (starting at age 25) of all kinds of candida cleanses, parasite cleanses, every herb under the sun, birth control pills, rotation diets, special diets, antibiotics, etc......then I found out about liverflushing (I had already done a lot of bowel cleansing over the years, but not as intensely) and that made the biggest difference.

There is no magic pill one size fits all for solving acne problems. Everyone is different and everyone has to find out what it is with their body that is causing the breakout. I believe I can safely say that I have narrowed it down to a handful of factors.....but everyone has to find out WHICH factor or FACTORS it is.

Oh yeah...the oregano was mixed with 2 QUARTS of warm water, in case anyone was wondering.

Did you use Colosan powder or capsules? Did you do the powder and then follow it with the lemon juice? Where did you purchase the Colosan from? About how many capsules/bottles do you need for a good cleanse?

Also, what kind of liverflushing did you do?

I agree!!

For now, I'm enjoying my clear skin and hoping it stays that way!! I noticed there is another discussion about parasites and acne. By reading that and what Diane has to say, I've come to the conclusion (I think?) that the cleansing has to be kept up and has to sort of be a lifetime (and not a onetime) sort of thing.

Thanks to all!!
