I always notice that when I first start using a topical it works awesome and then after a week or two, sometimes even longer, it loses its effectiveness. Anyone else notice this? So what I'm doing now is switching my topicals every couple weeks. This includes cleansers, daytime treatment, and night treatment. I started with a great Tea Tree Oil Soap, which worked great, but now doesn't seem to help. I was using Green Cream at night, which still is effective in healing redmarks, but its effectiveness in helping my acne has been reduced. I use Niacinimide (spelled wrong) its vitamin b2 i think, during the day. This still seems to help reduce inflamations as it is an anti-inflammatory.
I also want to tell you all about these all natural products from Clare Ledor which you can get at www.clareledor.com . They work very good.
So I will start using my Clare Ledor Cleanser which contains:
Ingredients: Castile, Aloe Vera Gel; alcohol free Lavender and Witch Hazel Distillates, Allantoin (a skin healing extract from comfrey), Grapefruit Seed Extract (proven to eliminate acne), Bee Propolis (discovered by a Russian Doctor to heal acne), Xanthan Gum and a blend of acne fighting Pure Essential Oils suitable to your skin type.
For Dry or Sensitive Skin the Essential Oil blend contains: Tea Tree, Lavender, Bergamot (bf), Blue (German) Chamomile, Cedarwood, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang and Roman Chamomile.
For Normal or Oily Skin the Essential Oil blend contains: Tea Tree, Lavender, Lemongrass, Myrrh and Patchouli
During the day I will use the skin toner, which I then added tea tree oil, pantothenic acid, grapefruit seed extract. It originally contained the following:
Ingredients: Aloe Vera Gel; alcohol free Lavender and Witch Hazel Distillates, Allantoin (a skin healing extract from comfrey), Grapefruit Seed Extract (proven to help eliminate acne), Bee Propolis (discovered by a Russian Doctor to help heal acne), Polysorbate 20; and a blend of acne fighting Pure Essential Oils suitable to your skin type.
For Dry or Sensitive Skin the Essential Oil blend contains: Tea Tree, Lavender, Bergamot (bf), Blue (German) Chamomile, Cedarwood, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang and Roman Chamomile.
For Normal or Oily Skin the Essential Oil blend contains: Tea Tree, Lavender, Lemongrass, Myrrh and Patchouli
They also have a tea for acne that works pretty good, if it doesn't help acne its very good for you.
At night I'm going to use the VC Labs Vitamin A+ skin solution. Its suppose to be really good for scars, anybody know anything about this product?? I guess it takes a month or two to work but it eliminates oily skin for almost everyone who uses it, so they say.
Vitamin A+ Solution anyone??

Has anyone ever used or know anything about the Vitamin A+ Solution from www.thevitamincure.com
I just started using it. Its supposed to eliminate oil and then stop acne like accutane. It takes a month or two to work though. . I'll keep everyone posted, sounds like it should work. Its a very new product. Came out in April 2005.
just so everyone knows I am still on wais diet www.freeacnebook.com . I sometimes cannot sick to the diet exactly, and then I break out. I am good for the most part but I am getting sick of having to follow this diet, can't gain any weight and I'm running out of money. So I am looking for something that will work with/without the diet. If I could be half on the diet/ half off, that would be awesome.

here is a study on topical retinal palmitate applied topically to a rat to reduce tumor size. i did not find any studies for topical retinal palmitate for acne .
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.f...l=pubmed_docsum
If it is somewhat effective on a tumor then it may have some topical potential for acne.
But i do remember hearing about topical vitamin a to have a minimal effect on skin, the conversion rates to retinoic acid(thats why it helps acne) are very slow thats why drug companies sell the retinoic acid form called tretinoin AKA retin-a or adapalene AKA differen. Its already formed and begins to work very quickly to normalize cell generation.
its definitly worth a shot.

I tried this, but it has hyperallergenic ingredients (sunflower oil), so I can't give you a full effectiveness on this since my skin reacts in a bad way to it.
