hi guys

my derm gave me this glycolic acid wash and glycolic acid cream to get rid of scarring on back and shoulders.

since ive been using it, my back has gone from being just scarring to itchy bumpy acne again. she says this is supposed to happen. bring the acne to the surface to expose it.

when i dont use it however, my back goes back to being nice and smooth with no itchyness, acne or pain.

is she talking bullshit? should i stop using it and just take the peels i go for every 3 weeks for the scarring?

thanks in advance guys. eusa_wall.gif

I used to have that happen whenever i used a salicyclic acid wash on my back. never did figure out if it was getting worse before it got better or a sensitivity reaction. you should try again in the fall or winter though when its not skin season. (That is how i refer to summer!)Good luck
