using a loofah or brush in the shower? Every other place I have read that you need to exfoliate your back/shoulders to get rid of bacne. Is this true?

I also have been exfoliating with a rough washcloth and oil-free cleanser for the past couple of months and it has made a BIG DIFFERENCE!

Hey guys am new here and just want to comment what an amazing site this is, You are all so great and the information here is great... So I will start my contribution biggrin.gif I have had mild to moderate bacne, I never use to really concentrate on exfoliating it for the last 10 years... Ive only recently started washing my back everyday with an exfoliating sponge and my back cleared up 95%... Just with regular gel body wash. I highly recommend this. It keeps the skin very clear...

do you use it every day? is it a granulairy exfoliant? because on the tube of my exfoliant it says to use 2-3 times a week in shower or bath.
So if i would use it every day would it do more good then harm?

Hello. My bacne was pretty bad when I was a teenager.. I never use to care for my back and slacked on my back hygiene. THen i started washing my back everyday.. The body sponge I use is very mild.. It looks like this. http://img313.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sponge5et.jpg

I would put my body wash soap on it and just scrub around my back for a good minute.... When i missed a few days not properly washing my back, the acne returned.. This has worked for me.. Im 21 now so maybe it could be that im getting older and "growing out of it" But I have noticed this improvement with me washing it everyday with this sponge..

I also use a back scrubber brush.. but i found out that if u mix baking sada with a little bit of waster and scrub really gently it does freekin wonders. You can also mix it with a gentle clenser like cetaphil. TRY IT!!!!
