Hey guys...I finally finished with Accutane... I'm just here to tell all of you out there to not be afraid of accutane... It's awesome and it has boosted my confidence a ton. I still have redness but it's slowly going away.. I haven't had a single pimple in over a month... Ha but I was also wandering if I could get a tattoo? It's been 1 month and a couple days since I stopped...

eusa_clap.gif arent you glad its over?nice pic.i think you should wait maybe 6 months to a yr. ask your derm.

Accutane is another drug that is somewhat baffling to tattoo artists. According to an article published by the APT (Alliance of Professional Tattooists), "Clients using this medication will present skin that is very different from what we would hope for and expect in young skin. In addition to making the tattoo application difficult, it seems to interfere with the healing process." The reason is not yet known, but it appears that pushing ink into the skin of a client on this medication is next to impossible and can cause needless trauma to the skin. Once the drug has been cleared from the client's system, they may then choose to get the tattoo.

Awesome man.
I know your pumped, but wait a little longer for the tattoo.
At least another month or two minimum, maybe longer if the info above is correct.
It'll be worth the wait, and this way you will be SUPER SURE its what you really want.

Peace

Aw your skin looks great!

The red marks are tiny and not even noticable when you take into consideration how attractive you are! wink.gif

Thanks so much guys! It was definitely worth the chapped lips and dry face... My initial breakout was pretty bad also... I guess I will have to wait for the tattoo because it's not worth messing anything up now!
I wish the best for all of you guys and I will continue to read on here!!!

Hey man I've heard that you should wait six months or something till tattooing or piercing cos of the sensitive skin and also possible scarring. But honestly 6 month are nothing man, so I think next summer you can get every tatoo you want!! biggrin.gif

Congrats again!
