hi, this is my first post. i have been lurking for awhile and liked what i saw. i don't have the benefit of a digicamera, so i will have to describe my situation. very light blemishes and what i believe to be clogged pores on my chest and the front of my shoulders. the CSR has been working about 80% for about six months, but not enough that i can go without a shirt. from reading on this and other sites, i think i have more clogged pores that are not inflamned acne. that is, if i don't mess with them. on the advice from this forum i bought some EXPENSIVE mandelic acid serum and it just kept bringing out more blemishes for four weeks. did i not use it long enough? it wasn't bad, just more than normal. so i went back to the standard CSR and it got better. but the skin on my chest looks like the pores are starting to clog more without the mandelic acid. i have been on the verge of trying Green Cream, i hear good things about this product. my problem: stay with the CSR and deal with some breakouts from time to time or go back to a good exfoliant and use more patience this time. any help will be great. thanks.

ooooo thats tough. i would try using a bha toner on the area. so like neutrogena pore refining toner on cotton then wiped over the area twice daily? its got aha and bha but i dont know about the concentrations. Good luck.
PS i suggested neutrogena cuz its widely available but there are better ones out there.

okay i just remembered something. if you can afford it try md formulations glycare acne gel. its 30 dollars at ulta or internet. It has 1% salicidic acid (deep exfoliator) and 5% glycolic acid (surface exfoliation) in a really clear, thin, easily spreadable gel that is at the correct ph balance for exfoliation. the tube is three ounces i think so its not that expensive, especially since you can spread it so thin. it my fav exfoliator and i miss it terribly cuz im pregnant and cant use anything....poor me. good luck. if you try something and it works let me know k?

i have been using Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy for a couple of weeks now with regularity along with BP at night for good measure and it seems to be working pretty well. i can't use SA because it always irritates my skin. so this may be the way to go for me. it seems to be much more gentle. it has glycolic acid and it doesn't seem to bother my skin at all. i will keep you updated, i am thinking that less really is more for me.
