yes , it's normal. B5 is water soluble so basically you are pissing out all the B5.

B5 doesn't affect the colour of the urine. What is more likely is the supplement that contains the B5 or an additional supplement being taken contains an amount of Riboflavin (B2), which has a known side effect of (harmlessly) turning urine a fluorescent yellow colour.

Well, you're using some of it, but if you are taking 10 grams that is something like 100,000% the daily value. If your body stored all this and didn't eliminate it through the urine, you would would probably die or experience severe health problems.

im only taking 1.5g a day with a b complex as well. Dont want to take 10g it seems a bit over the top as like you say its about 100,000% of you RDA, even taking just 1.5g i am like 25,000%. Well i was just hoping i wasn't pissing it all away because £8 seems quite pricey for some fancy coloured piss lol.

Jess your lucky yellow isn't too bad but green lol really strange and like you say its so bright, im going to see if it glows up later if i have a piss in the dark eusa_clap.gif

As I said, it's not B5 itself causing your urine to be fluorescent, you'll find it's the B Complex you are taking contains Riboflavin (B2) and that's what is causing your urine to be that colour. B5 has nothing to do with the colour of your urine.

I'm not suggesting you do this (I personally don't take a B Complex when I'm on B5 as I find it reduces its effectiveness), but if you stopped taking the B Complex for a few days and only took B5 you'd find your urine returned to it's normal colour.

Cheers

When this was being discussed several months ago, I took a big dose of pantothenic acid and it had no effect whatsoever on my urine. Again, like Craig said, it's RIBOFLAVIN (vitamin B2) which is well-known to have that effect, not pantothenic acid.
