I think that I might have candida overgrowth in my digestive tract and believe it is contributing heavily to my acne. I did a quick-test where you draw up saliva and spit it into a glass of water first thing in the morning before any food and if the water slowly turns cloudy, stringy like things start floating off the spit etc. usually means you have candida overgrowth, and the result wasnt so good and indicated candida overgrowth.

I admit having bad eating habits and sometimes binging on junkfood but thankfully Im not overweight or anything. I believe the doxy that i was prescribed contributed mainly to the candida overgrowth and i think i need to stop taking it or take it at intervals perhaps with "digestive rejuvenation" periods. I sometimes take acidophilus probiotic supplement to help bring my bowel movements back in order after taking doxy.

Any advice on how i can easily/conveniently cure my candida overgrowth and at then afterwards still be able to take doxy and maybe manage it by taking acidophilus as well.....?

I think there's something special that can be done alongside Colonic Irrigation for Candida. I booked myself in for 12 sessions the other day and the lady mentioned something about it. Maybe have a look around the internet.

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with a colonic as I wouldnt like someone shuvving a tube up my backside lol. I would prefer to cure it with more herbal or other natural alternatives, and I saw on another thread earlier that coconut oil is used..?

you dont need a colonic to get rid of candida. a while ago i did the spit in a glass test too, with the same result as you had. but i had a stool-test and it said i dont have candida. i dont have any problems of tiredness. but i do have white stuff on my tongue.. and yeast fucks me up... so i dunno

you can try some anti candida foods (garlic, coconut oil) or anti candida diet (no sugar) and see how it affects u...

hmm interesting. well i guess i do feel more tired than usual and am almost 90% sure i have candida as even my bowel movements arent as regular. I might try ThreeLac which helps to cure candida, or prevent it.

where did u get a stool test done and how does it work?

thanx for advice smile.gif

Well, if you want to cure your candida overgrowth, you definitely need to do a candida cleanse.
This basically consists of taking an anti-fungal for 2 weeks, then a probiotic for 2 weeks,
then repeating this procedure for another month if needed.
Oh, and you also need to drastically change your diet.

Here's a page that'll describe what a candida cleanse consists of:

thanx for that poomba. i checked out the diet and it doesnt seem too hard, except cutting out alot of the usual things i eat. and also I don't wish on getting a colonic done as im still not convinced its painless and COMFORTABLE.

i will probably buy some sort of antifungal thing to take such as grapefruit seed extract or something. ill giv GNC a visit on the weekend and see if i can buy some. I am already taking acidophilus probiotic supplement to give me a head start.

thanx again ! biggrin.gif
