This thread is refreshing is very helpful to sufferers of acne.

The reason why we even abhor acne in the first place is because the modern media makes it seem to be "abnormal" some weird "skin problem" but the reality is that it's not that uncommon, even among the most beautiful and blessed.

This definitely helped my self confidence, but also made me want to ask my derm for 'tane.

As you can see from the bottom ones, her forehead is her main "struggle area", but looks flawless with our magic photoshop retouch.

If these celebrities can face millions of cameras and flashes, so can we. Let's all have strength.

These kind of pictures are definitely refreshing A friend and I were flipping through some stupid celeb magazine while we were waiting to buy Wiis super early in the morning, and there was a whole "celebs without makeup!" article. The pics themselves were refreshing, but what annoyed me was the fact that they were presented with this "look how hideous the are! They should never let anyone see them this way!" tone, rather than a "isn't it reassuring to see they look just like the rest of us?" attitude.

I'm a professional photographer; I shoot digitally, and while I don't feel like a photoshop expert by a long shot, I can make skin look flawless really quickly, without it being obviously retouched. I do all the fashion photography for the salon I go to, and I see first hand how much makeup those girls have on up close, and I still end up retouching them. That's reassuring to me

This makes me feel a little better, but isn't it also kind of discouraging? Even with all their money some of them can't kick acne. IT'S SO STUBBORN!!! I was also thinking that all of the makeup they wear for their jobs probably adds to the acne, but they have to keep wearing it to cover the acne. It's a vicious cycle and I'm so glad I've stopped wearing makeup on a regular basis. Imagine HAVING to wear loads of makeup as your job?

Yeah it is also kind of frustrating to know that we haven't been able to CURE acne yet. Like the common cold, I guess.

Found this today. It's nothing too noticeable, but considering he has a lot of make-up on, you can see two or three (make up covered) acne bumps next to his mouth:

Saw a pic of James Hetfield, just as a note, Hetfields face was burned on the right side in an accident on stage so that's not acne scars.

This thread doesn't make me feel better, more like the opposite Celebs aren't any better than we are anyway...

i feel way, way frigging better....not because its at their expense, but because they have access to the BEST doctors, dermos, spas, treatments, etc. and they still have to deal with it, just like the rest of us humans. i felt that if I had more money it would give me the resources needed to find the "right doctor" or "the cure"

This is all really comforting, just knowing that they are human, not 100% perfect.
I definitely idol Keira Knightly now, especially since she talks so openly about her skin. She has really re-defined confidence.

Does anyone here watch Heroes? I've noticed that a lot of the stars on that show don't have perfect skin.
Mr. Benett has moles, or some sort of bump.
Claire [hayden peniterre]'s skin is really good, but you can kind of see spots on her forehead at times.

wow this is a really old thread but reading it actually made celebs seem more normal. It made me feel a bit better. Looks like CAmeron didn't rub in her cream all the way :/

It just shows not all celebrities have perfect skin, though about 97% of them do.

I've always wanted to be an actress, ever since I was a little girl. I'm 14 now and I have no hope, I have extremely severe acne, and I'm pretty ugly aside the acne anyway.

Oh well.
