I kind of wonder how some of these celebrities manage to get their acne under control. I know mine flips right out if I put even the smallest bits of makeup over it. x.x

It's nice to see that a lot of people aren't perfect, even those we think are. Actually, it makes me feel a LOT better when I see this stuff.. and I don't think any less of these people at all. I think we put too much importance into being "perfect", it's not really important.

I would hate to be a celebrity and have acne because then you will end up on message boards with pictures of your imperfections

Airbrushing is the SHIT. A few years ago I got glamour shots done for my 16th birthday and got to see what I would look like without acne...and lots of makeup on. I hate looking at it because I dont look like that

You could look a little closer you know. Most of them have makeup on, but you can still see it underneath. Try zooming in if you have a small monitor or something.

I don't like wearing tons of makeup and photoshopping myself.. because then I wish I really did look like that and it makes me not want to let people see me in real life.
I bet a lot of celebrities think that too, but what can you do.

I don't think celebrities having acne is really a bad thing, I think it makes them seem a lot more human and it's easier to relate to them that way. :3

Like she has good skin in this photo. I just wanted to note the left arm has spots that are what's left over after arm acne. Which I get on occasion.

Paris Hilton gets Mystic tans all the time, thats why she's so dark, her pores must get so clogged. It's nice to see her up close like that, all her pores and little bumps... it looks... normal!

This is unrelated like the lip thing... Those eyes are so totally contacts.. see the unnatural lines in the eye? I had contacts so I know, and the right one has moved and hence that dark spot near the middle... Oh and the pic of her with acne, it's severe, I have it like that, too...

"severe"??? hmm.. i would never call that severe acne haha.

And yes she has naturally brown eyes, which ive always thought looked better on her

Fair enough, some of them have average skin, but most of them are just moles/lighting/etc and it's not acne like everone else is getting. Christian Bale for instance, I'm sure you'll find that's just a mole. They're still super hot people, which is why they're movie stars.

Wowwww. Seeing these makes me feel awesome! Not even so much that I feel like I can relate to them now, but just to see that the ridiculous standard that is set by celebrities (an unrealistic body type, skin so perfect its almost not human, etc) is all just a trick with computer programs and make-up. It's nice to see that the "impossible" standard that is set by these people, is indeed, impossible, and not even real. It's hard to remember this, when you really only see them in that unnatural format. It kind of makes me think that it's all just a plot that the cosmetics/skin care industry is a part of that gets people to spend mad cash on products to attain the impossible, keeping us thinking that the "cure" that will give us what these celebrities have is just around the corner, or is one of the many things we just havent tried yet. And they are guaranteed a constant flow of OUR money because they know we can never reach this goal. I know, I sound like a conspiracy theory. But seriously, thanks to everyone who posted all of those pictures. I don't think it's wrong to post the pictures of celebrities. People should see the truth, not some illusion that makes everyone else without a personal make-up artist keep running for an acne cure to attain this b.s. goal, like a hamster in a wheel.

2 years ago i was in hmv in dublin and metallica were playing in dublin the next day, i was in the metal section looking through some stuff and i noticed that james hetfield was standing beside me, and i must say his scarring is more extensive and much more visible in person...however scarring really isn't such a bad thing, in my opinion anyway, it only adds character i think, and he's a nice guy anyway (in person) so he carries it off..

Did you talk to him? I met him backstage a couple years ago. He was VERY intense but nice. Looked me right in the eyes and talked to me. Talk about a presence. He had total command of the room when he walked in - without saying anything. Just a Majestic presence. His scarring is quite bad and he had bad cystic acne as a young man. Just goes to show you even with bad ass acne scars you can still be the coolest bad ass on the planet. I named my son after James.
