OK, i think I am gonna go see a naturopath, I called her office, I guess she TREATS acne permenatly, not just for a while, like most derms do. Well, has anyone been to naturopath? Has it worked?
If anything works for me I will DEFINATELY share with you guys.

I was also looking into going to see a naturopath after I got done with my laser treatments. I have heard some great things about them. Especially about getting acupuncture done..its supposed to clean you from the inside--out. Let us know how it goes if you decide to go...

I am seeing a naturopath right now and I am very pleased. He tested me for many things, and the only red flag that came up was heavy metal toxicity. I am currently on a chelation regime to remove these metals from my body, which apparently will help my immune system work more efficiently and bring my body back into balance. I have been doing chelation for a little over a month now, and it can take up to a year to see full benefits. My doctor said that he has seen many cases of acne clear up after metals are removed from the body, so I'm looking forward to seeing if it works for me. Good luck!

i also want to visit a naturopath but my parents keep claiming im healthy as can be so they think it would be a waste of money for me. but i personally believe that i have metal toxicity to a certain extent and need to start an oral chelation program.

i would really love to get acupuncture done, but im afraid that it will be painful and the idea kinda creeps me out.... a doc stickin needles all ova ur body lol.

cheers:D

I just had accupuncture yesterday and I had it done last winter for a back injury. Seriously, I was one of the most ticklish people ever but I've calmed a bit now and it's really not bad at all. You just lie down and relax, the needles they stick in are tiny and you feel a small prick for half a second. It'd say it's 10 percent of what it feels like to be stung by a bee, if that. Much less pain then a syringe they use at the doctors. Really, you just inhale as they press it in and it's not bad at all. But there can be strange points, like in your armpits and shit, that was definitely weird feeling...

When you lie down and relax with all the needles in it feels like they're tingling from time to time... Accupunctures some pretty interesting stuff if you really look into it.

I had acupuncture before for a different illness, when I was 5 y.o. It's not painful, just weird.. I remember I was bored, since I had to lay still. It didnt help me with my other illness though.

She suggested large dose of vit A for acne?

HMMMMM!

I eat a LOT Of kale and I swear it has the best affect on my skin tone. So that clears things up a bit then because kale has insane levels of Vitamin A huge amounts per serving.

Niiiiiice, I shall keep eating it, its so good too.

What else did you get told?

I said: Wouldnt too much Vitamin A be toxic to the body?
She said: You have to take 10,000 IU for 10 weeks, toxic would be LONG LONG term, like years.

Plus, since I am not gonna have a kid anyday soon LOL, no worries, pregnant women cant take too much Vitamin A. She also said if I get headaches from too much Vitamin A, then I need to stop taking it.
She also suggested a whole chunk of stuff. Ok, the visit was $100 lol, but I will gladly share everything for free.
Ok she suggested:
Keep doing detox (liver flushes, organic foods, LOTS of water)
Vitamin A 10,000 IU 10 weeks
GLA (supplement) that has Omega 6
ELIMINATE Dairy and Sugar
Eat more protein, beans, quinoa, nuts, seeds and tofu
BIO-PMT (supplement) [FEMALES ONLY] take during Days 14-28 of your cycle
that one was for hormonal causes.

Then she prescribed Niacin solution, which I didnt get because its pricey and some other acid .. was pricey I didnt get it either.

I didnt buy any of these from her yet, cuz I had no $ on me. Amazon has all those supplements.
I honestly dont know if acne is genetic, she said it is.
I think eliminating acne is like learning foreign language, LONG process, but it's better every step of the way.

Hope this helps. This was prescribed to me individually, dont know if it will help. I eat kale too and carrots, works wonders on complexion.

Marrakech here's a tip. You can take spirulina powder and get your vitamin A in the form of beta carotene (which is non toxic and won't give you side effects). It also contains GLA, chlorophyll which detoxes you, and high quality protein (1tbsp. spirulina = 1oz. beef). Then you don't have to worry about getting GLA or vitamin A supplements. As a bonus, it contains a whole range of minerals and other vitamins, antioxidants, phytochemicals, etc.

yeah, it has. i take it daily in the form of powder and have usually a tablespoon or two a day. it's made me heal faster and i get less breakouts. keep in mind i'm doing a lot of different things to help my skin right now but i definitely consider spirulina one of the greater factors in helping. i'm trying to spread the word around about it now because i've done a lot of research into it and it really is some good stuff, better then any multivitamin. but yeah, kale is a great choice too, that and bok choy are two greens i just started eating the other work and found out i like them a lot smile.gif

you can find it here for really cheap http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00024CK0...lance&n=3760901

this is the brand i get from wild oats, also in bulk for pretty cheap http://www.shopnatural.com/Merchant2/merch...paign=FreeLists

I am gonna buy spirulina and chlorella next week. One good thing is EXCERCISE!!!!!! I mean, it's great for the whole body. After I excercise I take warm shower and turn it to cold for 3-5 seconds then warm and then cold again. This improves immune system. Im loving it!! Its scary and only for brave souls LOL
