2. Of course this forum is confusing, nutrition and alternative health are generally pretty confusing subjects.
3. There are some pretty knowledgeable people on here and if you have half an idea of what's going on, you can probably point them out. I don't even think it's necessary to mention names, let's keep it as simple as saying one starts with an S, one starts with a B, one starts with a D, etc. There's definitely some people that got their shit together. And then there's kids like MelbourneBloke who keep it all entertaining and interesting with the posts that don't necessarily have to do with acne like the Hunza people, but it's still interesting and good to know.
4. So how'd you clear yourself up? If you got something that worked for you don't hesitate to hold it back

It's possible that some people don't have the same reaction to food than others, but what most are saying is that it is triggered by food not caused by it.

I don't believe in scanning information, silenting people, covering the truth, making things superficial for the sake of making them simpler, ignore bizzarre theories, be morals and close-minded about someone's theory (geez ... everyone thought earth was flat! they tortured the only man who said otherwise)
So yes I believe in confusion, because I believe that everyone can make his or her mind up and doesn't need others making order. You never know what could be revealing or where a long seeked truth is concelead so I believe it's better to listen to everyone even people who say we're children of aliens and we evolved with alien genes, because you can better make your mind up when you have all the information from the most certain to the most shocking rather than when they're filtered by someone else, more often than not someone with biased interests ...
Just my two cents

The only posters who should be listen to are the ones who claim that they have maintained their clear skin for at least three months. All other posters shouldn't give out advice on how to clear skin if their skin isn't even clear.
I actually agree with this statement. I dont think you can judge whether an acne treatment is working unless you have tried it and had success for at least 3 months. I too think there are far to many people who come on here and say - 'I did "x" 5 minutes ago and already my acne is clearing!!'. Just my 2 cents ...

For instance, I am not on a Paleo diet but I know what it is and that some people have had success with it. So if someone asks "What is the Paleo Diet?" I can offer information and help acnswer their question even though I don't have first hand, experiential knowledge of it.

Well, most people have enough common sense to not listen to the quick fix people.
Unfortunately these people aren't always easy to spot. That said, I have also received ALOT of very useful info here so the skill is in trying to separate the wheat from the chaff (sp?). However, it doesn't hurt to remind people from time to time that they when reading some posts here they should come armed with a bullsh!t detector ...

I've had perfectly clear skin for eight years. The answer is as simple as accutane.

Yeah and some people are just plain dumb and can't sort it. It's their own fault though.

It's good though that they post their findings so we all keep finding new options and in the long term are able to create new/better regimens and maybe learn some more about acne, how it works and what really works/helps against it (a lot of derms don't even completely know how the products they subscribe battle and prevent acne).
It's pretty much impossible to prevent these posts btw, there are a lot of crazy people on earth that tend to get even crazier when posting something on the internet
A general rule that everyone knows and needs to keep reminding themselves of is being skeptical online.
