I was just wondering if anyone here has tried either brewer's yeast or cream of tartar, and how it worked for you. Thanks. smile.gif

I mix 2 TB Brewers Yeast into oatmeal or a bowl of soup. Apparently it's a good source of protein and Vitamin B. I don't like the taste, so I add fruit and cinnamon to the oatmeal- the soup usually covers the taste pretty well.

The brewer's yeast is a natural source of chromium and B vitamins. I've read a couple things stating that chromium can be used to treat/help acne. I know someone on here posted that he was using a combination of chromium and vitamin C to keep his face clear (I think in the personal regimen logs). The recommended therapeutic dose of brewer's yeast is 4 TBSPs, which I'm doing, and I'm taking about 500 mg of vitamin C with each TBSP. I'm still on Diane 35 though, so I won't know how well it works until I discontinue the pill in a couple weeks. It's a little difficult to consume -- I buy Lewis Labs brand and mix a TBSP with some grape juice and water. It doesn't really dissolve, I'm constantly stirring as I drink and usually spoon up what's left in the bottom. If you do try it, make sure you buy genuine brewer's yeast (not nutritional yeast) and buy the powder instead of the pills.

As for the cream of tartar, it's the residue left over after winemaking. It's supposed to be a pretty potent detox. On one forum, a few people cleared up while using this according to a poster. However, I did a search on the forum and was unable to find the original topic, so I'm not sure how much they used. You can find it in the spice section of your grocery store.

Good luck biggrin.gif

You add a tsp of Cream of Tartar to a cup of water or juice daily. I was on it for about a month. I didn't really see any improvement.
