...quit wasting your money and just get yourself a prescription:

The study is right there. I never tried it, but eh...I might consider it this friday. But I know I have an infection due to antibiotic use (8 times) and corticosteroid use (almost 9 years, both oral and topical). This was because of my eczema...which some physicians thought was a staph infection (thus numerous cases of anti-biotics).
If I do get a prescription for some anti-fungal, I'll tell you guys what it is. But note, I do not expect it to treat my acne. I think I just read too much into candida and thought garlic and oregano oil would work...but I don't feel any better (I feel worst) through 3 months of treatment (self-treatment) even though my acne has improved.
But Nystatin is relatively cheap and surprisingly safe. So why not? It beats buyiing all these garlic pills. Though probiotics themselves can be taken for life.
Though some of you might be interested to know (especially Bryan) that the study found that a low-SUGAR diet was highly effective in treating candidiasis as it provided a synergystic effect with Nystatin as well as a positive effect on its own.

I've just gone through a course of Nystatin, 100,000 IU dose 4x/day for 3 days.
I can't say I feel any better though, but the reason why the physician prescribed it was for the white coating on my tongue. It has subsided on my tongue, but everywhere feels the same.
But 1,000,000 is the usual dose for intestinal infections...so my dose was 10% of the usual strength. Without insurance, the cost was $17.61. Not too expensive, but the stronger dose is probably running around $50 without insurance.
