I have less acne in the summer too and I really do relax more and get better sleep. Once school starts, I hope that I can get better sleep- like 9 hours a night like I do now.

I think thats impossible for me too lol, Im not fat, far from it but I eat a lot during the day lol and stuff like vegetables or fruts without something else can fit me for themselfs tongue.gif

Are you sure?
Throw the scales it won't tell you whether you're fat or not, but remember that skinny people are actually fat, or better yet fat skinny. You're a male and you accumulate fat in the abdomen so you can be underweight and overweight at the same time tongue.gif Underweight as general useless criteria of body weight and overweight for more reliable criteria of body fat.
That's why doctors who did therapeutic fasting like Albert Mosseri said that even skinny and thin people could fast for weeks and had lot of fat they could burn
Just asking

To get a funcional treatment I think I need to know the source, if it's really an allergy (Im going to make some tests soon), or its something really from the inside.. here I think I have to ways: generic (my father had it/mother didnt), or blood (when I was young I love stuff with sugar (as we all do) but I know I really abused from sugar chocolat candys etc, so maybe its something related to the blood) Note: Its going to make abour a year that I dotn eat a single chocolat (maybe one in 4 months)...

I don't think so, because acne is a multi-factor disease and there's never a single source
The four causes of acne are well known and they are all triggered by diet
Even when you say that it's excess hormone, the reason is still the diet or lifestyle because hormones are not supposed to be in excess not even in teenagers years
It's the reason why kids of papua guine who have an healthy lifestyle since their infancy have either no acne and also perfect hormonal balance, but also no diabetes, sight problems, hypertension, obesity or teeth decays. It's genetical because if they move to a western country and adopt a western lifestyle they're suddenly plagued by all those illnesses they didn't know the existence of and we're all plagued in the western world.

The four causes of acne are known: increase in proliferation of karnatinocytes within sebaceous ducts, androgen mediated increased sebum production, lack of separation of ductal corneocytes because of zag enzyme inhibitation resulting in the obstruction of the sebaceous duct, overgrow of P. acne bacteria and infection of the comedo ... and they're all triggered by body processes correlated to your lifestyle.

Diet is still the only true triggering factor, the difference between having P. bacteria like all the billions of people living in the world and not developing acne or developing it, therefore it is also the best preventive factor, that only thing that can be controlled to prevent acne.

But just like you may just need to open a damn to flood a village, it doesn't mean that closing the damn is enough to stop the flooding of the village and building new homes and dry the territory
That's why prevention is always the open weapon

Remember acne is not causedby diet, but it's triggered by diet
In other words the body terrain made of imbalanced hormones, high sugar levels, weak immune system, lack of vital elements is caused by diet and lifestyle

Also don't worry why you get acne and other don't, the factors are billions and you will never know what made the difference. Aside from your sensitivity everything that affects your metabolism plays a role and everuthing you do from morning to night including the way your worry or move affect your metabolism, not to mention the amount of glut-4 in the cell membrana, the amount of red fibers, your body fat, your bone mass, the amount of fat cells, your insulin sensitivity, your lungs capacity, your circulation and so many others there's no point analyzing them

Everyone is healthier in summer because you drink more and eat less
It's not something you're aware of but you couldn't really eat as much as you eat in the winter since you don't need the food to warm up the body and many calories are used in winter for their thermogenic effect and also you drink more even if you're not aware of it because your body is signaling for dehydration for the heat and creates a bigger craving for water. Recents researches also show that your hormone profile chances a lot naturally in summer because of the heat and your androgens level goes down
I'm sure there are other reasons too

The enlightening example is anorexia. Anorexic patients when they're recovered have a body fat mass up to 25% and are clinically obese yet they look emaciated and frail. That's because they lack muscle
There are actresses with 5% of body that don't look emaciated at all, but lean and "filled in" on the other hand the emaciated models like kate moss have higher body fat.
The reason is that what really makes us emaciated, bony and gaunt is lack of muscle not fat, we need very little fat to be healthy and protect the organs. There's this myth that anorexic subjects die of lack of fat too but that's have never happened, they die of lack of muscle, of severe muscle catabolization and the heart is a muscle

Maybe is the water salt? Maybe the sun that reduces my oil? eusa_wall.gif eusa_wall.gif eusa_wall.gif

Actually the sun does kill the bacteria that causes acne (p. acnes). It also may increase your immune system in return producing more white blood cells and reducing inflamation. And that beautiful tan you are getting is probably doing a great job at hiding the pimples and redmarks.

BUT it also alters the DNA cells giving you age spots and possible skin cancer. It also thickens your epidermis (outer layer of skin) which increases skin cells filling your follicles, thus the likelyhood of producing more comedones, meaning more acne. Lastly it may actually increase your oil production in the long run...

So while it "may seem" like the sun is benefiting you. Its actually harming you more and many people do not see the damage until around the month of October. Be careful cool.gif

You could prevent acne from worsening compared to its condition in the summer
But I don't think you should eat less and drink more water. You do that in summer because it's hot so there's a balance between the temperature outside and your food and water intake. But when it's cold in the water, you need food also for its termogenic effect and you need or naturally or unconsciously eat more food because of this. You could eat healthier though. Mimin the effect of summer without decreasing your food intake.
Try to keep your intake of water high
Because of the effect of hot climate you eat more fruits and veggies in summer because they're fresh and contain water. Keep your intake of fruits and veggies high in the winter too
And also when you want in the winter something that warms you body think of high caloric dense foods like peanut butter (you will have to experiment to see if it plays havoc with your skin) chicken breasts, avocados, scrambled eggs ...

I eat enough food in the summer, but in the winter, I eat more. I get why now or I just wasn't thinking about it before. A lot of this stuff is logic, but I didn't think of it. I usually drink basically no water in the winter because I have school. I'll start bringing a water bottle though like I did at my new school that I went to for 2 months.
