Hey, i lost this thread ages ago lol, and i kinda forgot about it.

iv done a few more peels since my last post on this topic, and on the 4th Peel, 2 days later my skin did start to flake and i had to apply moisturiser.

but after the second day, as i was washing the flaky skin would just wash off.

overall im VERY VERY pleased as i can see visible improvements in my skin, ill keep doing the peels untill im reletively clear of marks.

feel free to ask questions and ill save this thread so i can keep u updated smile.gif

you can do peels every 4-5 days?? i thot u were supoes to wait 7 days inbetween, well at least thats wat the bottle from puredeeming says. i did my first one last nite and right now my face is scabby, and the scabs r falling off and leaving a slightly pink mark, thats supose to happen rite?

did you get the lactic or glycolic peel from puredeming? And its scabbing??? How long did you leave it on for? I use the glycolic 30% and leave it on 2-6 mins like it says and my face gets a little red but thats it, no peeling or scabbing.

i got the glycolic from puredeeming. and i left it on for 2 or 3 minutes. (i did my skin in sections) my skin is peeling like crazy. it was 30% but i have never done a peel before. also its 2 days after and my skin looks gross from the peeling is that normal? it doesnt come off in big chunks just little flaky's

the reaction is different in everybody, but peeling is normal, just how much peeling occurs is down to the persons skin.

yes, your skin will look like crap for 2 to 5 days, but afterwards (along with gentle rubbing while washing) the flakes will be gone and the new skin will look amazing.

i had a rubbish complexion from bp creams ect untill i used GA and now my skin is glowing.

Since I have dark skin, would my new skin slightly darker than my old skin? What I mean is would I get uneven skin tone after peeling?

Are there any reputable sellers on eBay that sell 30% glycolic peels? I see a ton of them, but they're like $0.99 -_-.

markymark, iv done 5 peels in 5 weeks.

beany, well i say worse, but what happens is the GA effectively kills the bond between skin layers, meaning it kills the bond acne has with the skin, so if u have active acne, you will have a tiny pimple sized scab where your active acne is. and in 2-5days the dead skin/scabs will flake/peel away to expose the fresher looking skin smile.gif

this is the link i get my GA from, its UK based but they ship world wide, you get the GA, pippete(measuring tool) and a seriously detailed but clear instruction leaflet.

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lookgr8UK_Glycoli...2QQftidZ2QQtZkm

thast the link, ask away about anymore GA related questions or PM me.

x

I have alot of redmarks and a few scars aswell. I'm very intrested in trying out this product, but I'd like to get a few questions answered:

-Is this the right peel: http://cgi.ebay.com/GLYCOLIC-ACID-30-30ml-...1QQcmdZViewItem
I live in the US

-It seems to come in a tiny bottle with a measuring straw, am I suppose to mix the GA with water or just poor it in a tiny cup and then apply to my face?

-Can you recomend a moisturizer/daily cleanser to use after this peel is done(a website link would be greatly apreciated) and one to use daily, morning/night. Till this day I use simple dove soap and have always wanted to try something new.

Sry if these questions have been answered before smile.gif

thx

Hi There,

I'm planning to use the glycolic acid 30% peel and i was wondering if it is ok to use a salicylic acid microbeads cleanser in conjunction with the glycolic acid peel.

Hi There,

I'm planning to use the glycolic acid 30% peel and i was wondering if it is ok to use a salicylic acid microbeads cleanser in conjunction with the glycolic acid peel. Since alot of glycolic acid peel users experience flakiness, i was planning to use a salicylic acid scrub cleanser to get rid of the flaky dead skin. however, if it is not recommended than i will not use the cleanser. In addition, i was wondering if any type of cleanser can be used with the glycollic acid peel. If not, then should i only use the glycolic acid peel and a moisturizer?

Hey Skizi, that acid seesm to be fine, you may invest in a bigger sized bottle as those are usually at a reduced cost compared to buying loads of the smaller ones.

i dont know what to recommendas a cleanser as im from the UK, however, for 24 hours before and after your peel, do not use any AHA/BHA products like eucerin or lachydrin as this will cause irritation and possibly adverse effects while using GA.

In response to Syis, you shouldnt use Salicylic acid 24 hours before or after you peel, as this will cause more irritation and possible adverse effects. And dont use any type of scrub to remove dead skin cells loosened by GA as this may scar the skin.

This is what a recommend (and what i personally do) to remove the slight noticeable peeling (most skin comes off as i was, and is not visible to any1 during the day).

As normal, fill your sink/basin with warm(not hot) water and cleanser as normal with a non medicated cleanser by making LOTS of lather and smear all over your face. Then get cotton wool/pads and dip it into the water and begin to gently rub your face using circular motions.

this will dislodge the dead skin, do this GENTLY for 2 minutes (not exactly, but you get the point) and then rinse your face to remove skin and cleanser.

do this everyday and night for as long as you feel you need to and you'll be fine.

ask away or pm me for anymore answers to questions, ill be glad to help

thank you for the help so_fitting, I have just one more question. I will be using a non-comedogenic moisturizer with spf 15, i was wondering if this will be sufficient while going through the GAP process.

thanks

Will I be able to apply the ACV toner after the GA peels? I assume I shouldn't apply anything except to cleanse and moisturize 24 hrs. before and after, but will I still be able to use the ACV after this period?

Nikole, i dont know what that store you have mentioned is like however the store that i use (im Uk based) is reliable, helpful and product are very good. the link is:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lookgr8UK_Glycoli...2QQftidZ2QQtZkm

they ship world wide and i cant recommend them enough, due to their constant support and full detailed instructions they include with the GA.

Syis, its a pleasure to help as theres no point keeping what i know/experienced to myself, im taking that the "GAP" process refers to the "glycolic acid peel" process, if so then yes a non-comodogenic SPF15 moisturiser is absolutely fine to use while doing peels.

Though if the sky is going to be cloudy all day, spf15 isnt really needed, and depending on person to person (like myself) i dont use a moisturiser as all my dead skin comes off when i wash.

VolksWagon87 You will definately be able to apply ACV toner after the 24hour gap after the GA peel, though if you use a high concentration of ACV:Water like 3:1/2:1 u may find stinging/irritation (i havent experienced this as i dont use ACV, but this is just my assumption and may not happen if u apply high.conc ACV)

Ok, so_fitting
I will do 30% Glycolic peel soon. I am asian chinese with dark skin. My redmarks always turned brown (hyperpigmentation).
Do you think that, after my skin peeling off, I will get, similar to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, post-peeling hyperpigmentation?
You have any undesirable result after the peels?
