Has anyone tried it and was it effective? I was thinking of trying it.

I take and continue to take Zinc. In my experience it's done nothing to improve the oiliness of my skin, if anything the oil production rose ever so slightly. This may be because it has been said Zinc can raise Testosterone levels. The extra oiliness is offset by the fact Zinc boosts the immune system so you get less spots and inflammation on your skin.

Hmm... I've heard success stories from it. I barely have enough zinc so I didn't know if I should take it or not.
Since I'm a female, do you think it'd do the same thing to me?

it is my understanding that your acne could be because of a zinc deficiency. If it is not due to this then zinc will not necessarily help your acne. I do know that if you do take zinc you should be sure to take some copper as well. I used to take chelated copper 2.5 This is plenty.

Yeah cuz it's possible if you take too much zinc then you could get a copper deficiency.
