hehe..headaches cos of partying all night or cos of the accutane??

nah I wasn't partying, I woke up around 1:30 & stayed up until around 3:30 then woke up around 6 with a headache. I'm thinking it's because of the Accutane though

It's really cool that we're on the same dose and started around the same time!
Sounds like it's starting to kick in, though... ie; the dry lips. At least your lip tore when you were laughing- means you're having a good time lol.
Hope the headaches go away soon and you don't get too many new breakouts...

I started Sotret on 6/05/06. I've been experiencing the same stuff minus the chills and ear problems. My lips are super dry which only feeds my addiction to chap stick. Aside from that I seem to be faring pretty well. Good Luck on your journey.

Awwrr sounds like accutane insomnia.. man I think that's a well known side effect of this drug..I had insomnia in the beginning too..But hey do you know something?! It got better after some weeks.. haha Same will happend to you, for sure!

Its the opposite for me. In the beginning I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow! Now I wake up so much and its hard to sleep... Oh well

Hi Dana- Thanks for your well wishes. I am getting the same ear pressure/tenderness/sensitivity and the chills. I had rigors at a baseball game the other night in 80 degree weather with 100% humidity. It's weird. I tend to usually be cold vs not but this is getting ridiculous. Anyway, I am glad to see you have fended off the IB. Hopefully, I will too. Right now I am just swimming in oil.

Day 10

Today was my first morning waking up to a dry nose...wow was that awful, my nose felt like it was burning! Other than that my skin looks alright, no new breakouts, less oily also.

I can't believe it's day 10 already, the days are flying by!

Yeah, it seems like after that first week or so, time is flying by! It seems like I keep opening new blister packs!

I haven't had the dry nose yet, but my mouth has been super dry! We ran out of "good water" the other night and I absoulutely had to drink some water so I drank tap water! Geez, after drinking bottled for so long, tap water is NASTY! Maybe its because I live in a metro area, but geez..gross. I can't belive I used to drink it all the time!

Eww tap water is gross! When I run out of water I boil some tap and put it in the fridge, it tastes much better that way.

Today I feel lousy..I haven't felt this run down since I had the flu years back , all I want to do is sleep today, I have no ambition to do anything, this is going to sound awful but I don't even feel like typing lol I'm so pathedic! I think I'm going to take a nap after catching up on everyone's journal...oh and..I never take naps, Accutane is working

Remember me?? Well, I forgot to mention that I was going away for the long weekend! But, my derm appointment last Wed. went well and I got the prescription. Although I couldn't fill it until last night because I was away...so I am about to take my first pill today I'm nervous!!

I will come back and write more later...I have to catch up on some stuff at work!

Day 11

Wow was I tired last night..as soon as my head hit the pillow I was dreaming I woke up with no headache this morning. After my shower my skin was dryer & peeling more than usual, its also no where near as oily as it was before. I think with my good nights rest I have my energy back Oh yeah and I start my 4th pack of medicine today!

My problem seems to be that I'm dead tired, I just can't sleep. It really sucks cause I think if I got a good night's sleep then I wouldn't be so tired. It's a vicious cycle.

I have not had any of the nose dryness yet, but my headaches come and go and I have been super tired, but if that is all I will get (I hope) then I will take it. Its hard to believe I am almost done with my third week, I just hope that my course stays this way.

I know the derm will up my dose when I go in a week and half, but if it will make my face all clear then I can take it. I think I was more scared before I took the pill and now i am ready for anything!
