Sorry to hear about the headaches, hopefully they will go away as your body becomes more accustomed to the tane.

I have been having some chills to, now that you mention it, mostly during the day at work. I don't know what I'd do without a sweater!

Its a weird connection, but chinese medicine belives that acne is due to heat in the body. Maybe, in a chinese med point of view, we are losing that heat! Hmmm...interesting....

I am the person with the mother that has mixed feelings over the Accutane, But today she decide to go ahead with it I start Jun 28, 2006. Maybe we can be tan buddies too? I am sorta nervous buit I kno this is wht i have to do. And yes my skin also cleared up be4 my day to go to the derm.

You're welcome Yes I take Omega 3 (fish oil) with my pills, the vitamin E is for dry skin and hair, it's supposed to help reduce the dryness.

Wow that's great! I'm so happy for you that she decided to let you go on it! Sure we can be tane buddies I'll only be a few weeks ahead of you but I could give you a heads up on things. There's alot of other people just starting also so I'm sure they'll be helping you through it too

Cool il try that. Jojoba oil is best for dry skin. I find it a godsend. Its non-pore blocking n stuff can be got in a health food store.It also helps wit healing

Day 8

No headache, Skin is a little dry, so is my scalp.
No new pimples, old ones are drying up. Other than that I feel great

I'm in the US. I don't have insurance so I'm paying $706 a month for my prescription alone..with lab work and Dr. visits it's insane but it's so worth it, I want this Accutane to take away my pimples so I can live a little and not obsess about what I look like when I go out

I live in FL too! I don't know if summer in FL is the best time/place to start taking Accutane, but hey we already did it so too late now right?

I know what you mean about the high monthly cost, I'm frightened to think what this whole thing is going to cost me. I'm trying to look at it as similar to having cosmetic surgery. You'd pay thousands of dollars for a facelift or something right? I just hope I don't have to take out a personal loan to finish my 5 months

We are going to be on the same dose, I weigh 118# with pretty mild acne
right now because my first course ended in Oct of 05...
can you tell me have you had a breakout at all since starting
TAne? Are you taking an antibiotic to stop the break outs?

Hey Majick, that's pretty cool we're on the same dose & almost the same schedule
I broke out alot on day 4 but the next day it pretty much dried up, today is day 8 & luckily I haven't broke out again. Nope I'm not taking any antibiotics to prevent my breakouts. Thanks for stopping by my blog and keeping up on my progress Take Care!

Day 9

Well I guess this is the beginning of Day 9 since it's 3 in the morning..Anywho, today (and yesterday) I've been experiencing this pressure in my ear. I don't know if you'd call it a pressure but it's the same feeling you get when you go out in the freezing cold and your ears go numb what in the world could that be? It only lasts for a few seconds though.
My lips are also starting to chap,When I laughed today my lip tore, OMG it was so painful Other than that I'm alright, I guess I'll update after today is over haha.


Update: I got a few more hours of sleep but when I woke up this morning I had a bad headache. No new pimples, my skin still feels the same as yesterday.

hehe..headaches cos of partying all night or cos of the accutane??

And about the accutane prices. Gosh $700 a month that's crazy! I think I couldn't afford it..But you're right in the end it will be worth it. Sorry to hear about the chapped lips. Hopefully they will get a bit better next days!
