Hey people,
Basically, I am starting to get some body pimples. I have always had 1 or 2 on my body, which were barely noticeable, and probably due to hormones as I am 15. Recently I have noticed more and more small pimples popping up almost everywhere, few on shoulders, chest, mid back etc.
I have been through mild acne on my face and it’s a lot better. I am still using a topical antibiotic, and differin at night for my face. I find it hard to use these products on my back, purely because the tubes are too small, and they don’t spread real well over a larger area. So I was hoping if anyone has any... um, lets say ‘homemade?’ regiments for acne on the body? I’m not exactly sure what to do about it, It’s not bad enough for oral medication, but I don’t want it to get real bad. I am concerned as I swim a lot, therefore showing my back, shoulders etc off.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
not 2 bad

A lot of people here have used sea salt and it turned out to be successful. I have not tried it personally, but it was the only homemade remedy I could find. I suggest buying a strong bp gel (that's in a large amount so you don't run out quickly or spend a ridiculous amount of money).

Try PanOxyl 10% soap (it is drying though so you may want to follow with an AHA body lotion.) It is about $6-7 dollars and is available at CVS, Wal-Mart, Target. It has a generic looking blue and white box, but I have had good results with daily use. Sometimes it is at the pharmacy and you just have to ask for it.

I use Dove antibacterial body wash and it seems to help. I usually use a long handled soft brush to reach my back, and I use one of those fluffy/plasticky loofahs for my arms, etc. Sometimes I put 10% BP on my upper shoulders (where I can reach) and this helps dry it out a little, too.
Also, changing clothes, towels, sheets and pillowcases very regularly helps. Try to keep the fabrics next to your skin as clean as possible.
Good Luck
