mine is 70 bucks if i want name brand and 20 bucks for generic (with insurance obviously).

oh yeah and i recommend name brand since there was study that found that the generic accutane was less potent.

I'd much rather "waste" money and keep my health. Accutane is a serious drug and not something to mess around with. I personally am very attached to my liver (physically and emotionally).

You usually have symptoms if your liver or other internal organs are being damaged (pain). I think taking it without a doctor is pretty safe especially if youve already been on it the past and know how your body reacts.

That doesn't mean that a person will do this. People ignore serious things all the time because they're in denial or just don't want to deal.

I paid about AUD $30 for a months supply of 40mg/day. That works out to be close to $20 USD/month.

This was for Roche Roaccutane - the real shit.

I havent got my prescription for my ACCUTANE but I am really curious as to how much this stuff is gonna cost me...my insurance ( HUMANA) covers it but im afraid of the cost...I hope its not like $100 bux or worse! shock.gif

I also have Humana .. and they have plans (not sure if urs is or not) but if your medicine is past 50 dollars then all u pay is 50 dollars. If u are worried, just call and they will be able to tell you the exact amount (depending on ur plan.. i am sure) Good Luck!

I'm considering of going on it. My insurance has been covering for all the retinoids so far, so i'm hoping it'll do the same with accutane.

It does seem like a lot of money though...

i was up to about 120 mg a month towards the end of my use of accutane. it was approx 900 usd/mo. accutane works for a lot of people but i saw absolutely no difference with my skin. (i was only supposed to be on it for 6mo at about 50-60mg, and ended up being on it for a year and a half at 120. my skin is TOUGH!) haha. but good luck!

£6 British pounds ($10 or so) for Roche Roaccutane (the real stuff).
That was 3 years ago in 2007. It killed the acne good.

I just got off the phone with my insurance co. She informed me that though my copay will only be $10, if I didn't have insurance, the generic would cost $600 for a 30 day supply.
