Still breaking out at 4 1/2 months...

So I'm really confused and scared and need some reassurance or input!!!!

I'm currently on day 130 (4 - 1/2 months) and I'm still breaking out and my skin is just a mess - STILL! I orginally thought I was doing a 6 month treatment plan but when I saw my derm. last week she mentioned I'm only doing 5 months - even though I'm still breaking out!! I've noticed that most people do 6 months and I just don't know what to do. I asked about a 6th and she just said no I was doing only 5 and offered to up my dosage from 60 to 80mg - I obviously took it. But I'm scared that 5 months isn't going to be enough and this will all have been for nothing My acne hasn't let up at all - It's literally worse then it was before accutane

Is anyone else experiencing this? I feel like I'm the only one still breaking out at 4 1/2 months and I only have 2 weeks left - I just don't see me clearing up What's the average time people are on this stuff? Is 5 months going to be enough and will I possibly start clearing up once I'm off this stuff? Should I start begging for another month? I will have some extra pills left over should I just continue taking them until they're gone?

Dying your hair on Accutane

I've been on Accutane for almost 5 months now and I was wondering if anyone's had any problems with dying their hair while on Accutane? My scalp is dry and a little itchy but not too bad at all. I'm scared because I read about some girl that dyed her hair and it burned holes in her head so she had to stop her treatment until they healed! I'm assuming she had to of bleached her hair or something and I'd just be dying my roots a darker brown and possibly some highligts. I wash my hair with head & shoulders and a deep conditioning conditioner so I'm hoping I'd be good but I just wanted to see what others thought.

Please help!! - Predisone & Tanning while on Accutane

Hey everyone

I'm on 60mg/day and have mild cystic acne. I went in for my 2 month check up yesterday and my derm. gave me the option of going on a lose dose of prednisone or uping my dosage to 80 mg/day. I've been breaking out throughout my entire treatment and my cheeks are full of fairly large painful cysts It literally seems to worse and worse as the weeks go by. I feel as though I have no other option but to try the prednisone but I'm def. scared to up my dosage seeing as how I only weigh 130 lbs. and i'm already taking as much as I'm suppose to...

My question is what are people's thoughts or experiences of going on the prednisone? I heard you can break out again once you come off it? If so wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Will the low dose take down the inflammation and pain without all the icky side effects I'm seeing on Wikipedia? My face looks deformed and I'm desperate at this point!

And second I'm from MN (meaning I'm pretty fair skinned) and I'm going to Arizona in 2 1/2 weeks, does anyone know if I can go in a tanning bed for like a few min. every couple days to start building a base or is tanning a def. no no? I'm a little scared I'm going to get there and fry!!

Question...please help :)

So when I was prescribed Accutane my derm. never mentioned anything about refraining from consuming alcohol. Should she have? I read in the pamphlet that was included with my prescription that I should not and that it would increase the effects. I guess my question is if I drink will it affect my results? Any feedback would be helpful Thanks everyone!!!
