Hi All-
Am trying to purchase the RIGHT one for my 15 year old son who suffers from acne and a little cystic acne. I have read all the postings and am still not sure which one you think is the best. Which one has the most success or is it just the same no matter which you buy?? If the acne lamp is the best, should I buy the hybrid (red/blue combo) or the separate bulbs red and blue. $$ really isn't the issue, I just want the best chance for his skin to clear up. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Hopeful Mom

Hi everyone-
I am inquiring for help to purchase a red/blue light home system for my 15 year old son who has acne. We have taken him to dermatologist who has given him drugs, doxyciline, etc. and he has tried every otc out there, proactive, etc. We have tried glycolic peels and monthly extractions from facialist (painful but maybe helping) He suffers from a little cycstic acne as well as some scarring from previous breakouts. I am sure it is not as bad as it could be, but overall he suffers from redness and it is a constant self esteem downer. I am looking to purchase a blue/red light system for him. I have done a lot of research regarding buying one with separate blue and red lights or buying one with a combination of the two. So beautyskin, verilux vs enlux or separate bulbs. I would love to have some feedback from anyone who has had success getting rid or just controlling acne. Which should I purchase for him and do they really work. I realize there is no cure, but it kills me to have to see him suffer. Can anyone please give me some advice. From one Appreciative Mother!! Thanks Thanks!!!! Hopeful Mom |
