I had originally misclassified (I think) this as a cyst. But in retrospect I think it was either a severely inflamed pustule or a nodule. Since it started as a raised bump and took about a month to heal properly (with HP remaining) I believe this was actually a nodule rather than the milder (and more rapidly resolving) pustules I get.
