OUCH! I would start using Bio oil or maybe spome pawpaw cream or tea tree oil....it might help with the redness!

I have had this kind of scarring acne, cystic acne which was genetic. I used Accutane (16 years ago) and had good success. Ten years later I had lazer resurfacing and had good results. today (six years later) I still have some remaining scars and am looking into a second round of lazer or one of the thermal treatments.
My main story surrounding acne scarring is society's cruelty. We are a society of pretty faces. It is so much worse for females because soft clear skin is one of the major components of beauty. I have suffered greatly from the cruel intentional and innocent comments of others. At a college dance, I walked by a bunch of male students and one said "Wow , what a dog." I couldn't believe they were talking about me. My acne was adult onset. In high school I was one of the pretty people and popular with the in crowd. Another time, a young child commented "Mommy what's wrong with that lady's face."
It got so bad that my dermatologist recommended I see a counselor. I did and he came to my home for our sessions. During this time I had extremely low self esteem, extreme depression and lots of sadness. I learned that beauty is more than skin deep and I found friends who saw the real me and loved me the way I was. I still love those friends for their presence in my life. I was a wonderful person and they saw beyond the acne and sadness and became my friends.True friends are hard to find, but having disfiguring acne, allows a natural weeding out process.
