Hello, I recently had a very lengthy introduction on the forums, where I intend to keep a diary. I was recently started on Ziana, Solodyn, and Aczone for acne that I've had for years but never saw a dermatologist for. I'm getting married in a year... so now starts my journey to clear skin! I started out with mild-moderate acne, then recently had an explosion of hormonal acne within the past 6 months that prompted me to finally get treated. Cross your fingers! Derm wants to try Accutane next if this regimen doesn't work out... Eep!
At this time I was using Epiduo which kept my skin absolutely flawless and beautiful but the problem was when I ran out my acne ALWAYS got worse and now I can't afford a refill so I'm praying The Regimen can give me some results.
These are a couple close up pictures from when I've been on Diane 35 for at least 4 months consecutively. I have found it to be effective and I just figured I'd show some pictures of my skin at one end of my personal skin history spectrum. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the bad end because I tended to avoid cameras at that point... Anyway just ignore the ridiculous faces I make because these are the closest up pics I could find!
-still oily -still breaking out - a lot of hyperpigmentation and some box scars - lighter skin tone and more even, kind of smoother - replaced aha soap with african black soap (and loving it!) -still taking vitamins a,d and niacin. ran out of zinc -mildly breaking out on my chest and back -will continue this until week 24 and if shit still happens then idk anymore
-still oily -still breaking out -number of lesions dropped -added benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin phosphate as spot treatments -started taking vitamin d again - lighter and more even skin tone -skin looks alive haha wat
-50% less oily probably bc of vitamin a, zinc or niacin idk -still have spots -added clindamycin phosphate and benzac as spot treatments (currently going well as new spots are fading faster) -smoother and brighter skin
hey guys i don't know if you're able to see the pictures i'm attaching on my blog (if you have not read my blog, check it out) http://www.acne.org/messageboard/user/440051-watwatwat/ so that's why i've been posting pictures here just in case.
