Hey everyone,

Ive had a few pimples around my face whilst i was at school, im now 19 at university and ive had major breakouts the past couple of months, especially on my chin sad.gif I thought as you grow older acne is supposed to calm down.

Anyway ive been trying the Regimen but my skin is too sensitive to 2.5% peroxide. Im not allergic to it or anything but my skin is really really sensitive, i can't even apply a really small amount on my face because it becomes excessivly dry and red cry.gif Ive been reading on other forums that toothpaste is quite effective at eliminating pimples, apprantly overnight. I was just wondering has anyone tried applying toothpa ste, is it any good??

I have heard this too. My friend did that. Do not put it all over your face. test it out by spot treating. I have never done it though.

Ben Bernanke:
Ben Bernanke is a nice guy. I cannot post a picture of him because the site is being dumb. But people are being mean. It makes me mad. He is cool. He is handsome for his age cause he looks like a Greek philosopher but not the one who has sex with teen boys (maybe he will which means I am in luck). He is a jewish man and he taught himself calculus. I am pretty pissed off that people like Jim Cramer who is a douche and an ignoramus defames Ben, because Jim Cramer said to buy Bear Stearns before it collapsed. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Ben is nice. He has a twinkle in his eye. But he isn't Santa. I hate when people call him Santa. He isn't. Santa is lame. Ben is cool. And he is nice. I want to meet Ben one day. Obama sucks if he lets Ben go. Ben is my guy. Keep printing the money as george washington makes me quiver in my boxers which means more=the merrier.

His tanness is okay in my eyes. Usually I prefer the skin color of Alan Greenspan (whose voice can put me to sleep which is an offer btw). But Ben just seems like a cool person to have a soy milk latte with from Starbucks (he'll pay cause he is older and that is just proper etiquette which believe me Ben surely would have). We can talk about a lot of things like how the world is in a deflationary downturn to how muscular madonna has gotten. I could talk to him about anything. It would be nice. I want to go to the college that he is going to serve on the board of once he leaves the federal reserve. He could even teach a class or help with a dissertation. I really would also like it if Vladimir Putin comes to our Starbucks meeting too. I really like Vladimir because he looks evil and evil is sexy. I vote Ben Bernanke for president and Vladimir as the cover model for play girl for the whole entire year.
-Love, James!

Its not the toothpaste I don't think, its the baking soda in the toothpaste. I think you would be better off making a paste out of some water and some baking soda, and apply it. Ive heard people just leaving it on for 10 min. and some leave it on over night. I've done it before, it seems to bring the "white" to the top of the skin faster, and dry the pimple out faster.

I have tried it. But I can´t say that it did anything for me. I used to use it just before I went to beed. But I must say that I have been to a doctor to cope with my acne, so just because it didn´t work for me doesn´t mean it´s not going to work for you. So try it... it won´t kill ya eusa_angel.gif

Yeh ill probably try it just to see if anything happens, hopefully dont burn too much. But if it burns doesn't that mean its reacting to the acne?

I did couple years back..actually i did the stupidist thing ever. Thats how my acne started when i was 11 (now im 13) I saw this ad. on tv its a brushing massager thing like and its supposed brush ur pimples away.. so yeah i took my electric toothbrush with toothpaste and started brushing around my cheeks and up to my nose and around my t zone. Well here was my condition, i thot brushing my face (a dimwit like me would've done something like that) would clear up 2-5 pimples on my face. Dudee my face was so freakn clear! WEL... The next morning about 10-15 new ones popped up. New tiny ones that looked like active milia. Thats how my acne started from then on. Well theres my stupid rant. xD Anyways..dont brush ur face with a toothbrush if u ever get a stupid idea like that. But spot treatment is good for BIG FORMING ACTIVE pimples. Mine swell down within hrs!

I tried this a few years back. What I found was that if it was a tiny, imperceptible little whitehead, it WOULD dry it out. I didn't find it to work any better than BP, however, and was a lot more troublesome and messy. I would only recommend using it as an emergency manuever on one or two minor pimples.

As for acne calming down with age. It will, but it's often a two steps forward and one step back process. I'm 33 years old and trying the regimen because I can't believe I'm 33 and still breaking out. If you search the boards you'll find lots of posts from people in their 30s. You're doing the right thing by trying to get this under control now. If you can keep it from developing into a more severe problem you'll be a lot better off. Believe me, I speak from hard experience.

I tried this a few years ago, with no luck. Not that I'm saying it doesn't work, it just didn't do much for me. smile.gif

Why don't you just use Baking SODA (not Baking Powder) ?
That's what is in the toothpaste, and that's what is working on your spots. You can get it from most shops/"food stores".
It'll save on the burning, anyway.
