So I stumbled upon Acne.org a while back and ordered the large kit with jojoba oil. After about three weeks my skin was better but not where I wanted it to be. I asked a good friend of mine what I should do because he had severe acne and his skin is now clear. He told me to start taking Pantothenic acid. A lot of you on here might have seen posts about it but I swear to you it's working. I've been doing the DK regimen while also taking 10 total grams of pantothenic acid throughout the day. I take it 4 times a day; 8 a.m. Noon, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. My skin did get a little worse a few days ago; 6 new zits but they only lasted a few days and they're fading quickly.
On a side note, I used to use Proactiv, which is a great product just not enough quantity, and I still had the refining mask (6% sulfur.) Wow, I can't believe I didn't use it sooner! After cleansing, I put a generous amount of sulfur on my face and let it set for about 10-12 minutes. It works wonders on cleaning pores. Then I continued with the BP and moisturizer. Right before I went to bed I put the sulfur on fading zits and some red marks and when I woke up in the morning, my face looked a lot different. The skin around the zits was flaking and the redness had reduced dramatically. I would recommend anyone in need of help with their acne to purchase some sort of 6% sulfur cream. At night you just need a little dab on problem spot/areas and you wash it off in the morning. So while doing Dan's regimen and also using these other products, my skin is clearer, and new zits haven't been coming back. Also, jojoba oil is an absolutely great product. I'm going to moisturize with it more frequently. |

Nothing works. I agree nothing ever works.... We just keep on spending money on these 3 step programs no wonder these companies don't come up with some else because this is the best way to make money. I am using Dan's Reg right now...but come on at the end its just a fuckin 3 step program |

It. Works.
If you're having trouble with acne I suggest finding ways to educated yourself. I've done a lot of reading up on causes and reasons why acne starts and you just need to find out what works for you and what seems to cause acne for you. For instance, when you sleep, try to sleep on your back and change your pillow cases every two days or so. Little things like this make a big difference. Also, if there are foods/beverages that seem to cause flare ups, stop using them. I've found that coffee makes my skin more irritable (I love coffee btw) so I've stopped drinking it and I haven't gotten any new break outs. Got read marks from previous acne? A sulfur cream (6%) works wonders on relieving problem areas. I JUST started to use sulfur and red marks that were taking weeks to dissipate have started to clear drastically in only like 3-4 days. Everyone is different that's why you need to educated yourself about YOUR body. DO SOME RESEARCH! |

We have to remember something may work for someone, and it may not work for someone else.
Everything is now a 3 step regimen thing you buy for $30 or more. But when people add things, it works a lot better. The sulfur cream, is that the refining mask from poractiv or is it something else? sorry, I'm a little confused.

The sulfur cream is the refining mask. I have about 1/4 of the tube left and I'm about to go buy some Acnomel which is also a sulfur cream. I can't tell you how much it has improved redness and skin tone in the last 3 days! My acne has always accumulated around my cheeks and I've had red marks for probably 3 weeks now. They take a while to dissipate but about three days ago I've started a 10 minute mask before bed and the results are unbelievable. My red marks are extremely faint now and I haven't had any new breakouts what-so-ever. In fact last night I just cleansed and moisturized to help some of the excess drying I've had. And to add on your comment about 3-step programs...they do work well and you don't need much else besides that but, I think some variation in your regimen is good for your skin. Adding a sulfur cream just a few nights out of the week will aid in fantastic results. Walgreens (I believe) has Acnomel. Look into it. |

I've noticed that coffee causes breakouts for me. It was a really sad thing for me, since I absolutely love it. But - whatever helps, right? ;p
