 When did your skin start to dry out while on accutane? |

I will have been on accutane 1 week tommorow
It has started working in the sense that i have got thousands more spots but my skin is still realllly oily when did the dry skin kick in for you? My dermatoligist said not to use a moisturiser to me but it sounds like my skin will get really dry (reading all the experiences of other accutane users) so i might have to use one if my skin gets dry Have any of you had it where you're skin didn't dry out? Becuase i think i'd freak out if my skin didn't get dry i'd rather it did because atleast i would know if it was working :/ So i bought a moisturiser but not sure if i should use it if my skin isn't dry? :S Please Help Thanks x

Finished accutane christmas day 08- not too happy with results:( trying to stop picking my skin as my derm says apparently i'm making my acne worse etc etc so we shall see if it is me or just my crap skin as per |

I was super oily into the 2nd week, then woke up one morning and there was no oil to be found.

started to dry out after one day, was bone dry after 3 days, now day 26 and still bone dry, i moisturise 3 times a day but still get flaky n dry

We started on the same day and so far, I've noticed my lips being drier, but my skin is still just as oily as ever (maybe even more than normal).

my skin became oilier the first day i took the pill. it was very oily for about 2-3 weeks, then the oil went away. i am still not dry though. it is like perfect right now. but i am still breaking out.

Same here. I'm about 5 days into my 2nd month now, and my face is not too oily, not too dry. JUST right! I did have a breakout once I upped my dosage from 5mg a day to the now 10mg.. i hope that doesn't happen everytime I up my dose, and I also don't want my skin to become too dry! GOO LUCK EVERYONE. |
