I've been on Retin-A .1% for about a week and I have no peeling at all. Has anybody else experienced this? I feel like this might lessen my chances of clearing up hyper-pigmentation. I was on Ziana for about 2 or 3 months before this but it was only .025 tretinoin so i figured I'd have atleast a little bit of peeling or flaking, but I'm putting on a generous amount of the Retin-a at night and my face is tolerating it very well. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

First of all, even though your face is tolerating it very well, you should still apply only a minimal, thin layer to cover your entire face. I know it's really tempting, but putting on more doesn't boost the effects at all (only increases your possibilities for irritation); but of course, on the same note, make sure it actually gets put on over all areas.

I think you should wait a bit more. It can take a bit of time before you start seeing peeling. But generally, after about a good few weeks into it, you should be experiencing at least some peeling.

So, just stick with it a bit more (and be thankful your skin tolerates it so well! kinda jealous biggrin.gif) and if after two months or so, if you still don't think you see any effects, talk to your dermatologist about it. He/she may upgrade you to a higher concentration or maybe put you on Tazorac or Differin.

Good luck!
