Hey guys,

My current hair color is medium brown and I want to add some caramel highlights tomorrow. The trick is I don't want the color to be orange and I am afraid that it will turn out that way.

I also want to find a picture to take with me. I searched, but couldn't find anything I like. If anyone has any good picture sources, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone gotten caramel highlights before? Did you like it?

I really hope this turns out well!! eusa_pray.gif eusa_pray.gif

I just got caramel highlights last week actually & my hair is a medium brown. I would take a photo but my camera is acting up.
I really really stressed to my hairdresser that I did not want blond highlights. I made it very clear that I wanted light brown, caramel colored highlights. What she did was a foil weave in the top layers around the crown of my head and then she used a semi-permanent to tone the highlights so they are a nice soft caramel brown. I am very pleased!

Type of acne: Mild to Moderate
At my worst: Moderate inflammatory acne. Approx 15-20 large papules & pustules, & the occasional cyst. Very oily & slightly sensitive skin with large pores & many dark red marks.

Current Status:
Very few to no inflamed pimples, less clogged nose pores, "bumpy" comedal acne on chin, few redmarks

Skin Regimen:
Morning:
Wash with CeraVe
Moisturize with Lac-Hydrin Five or CeraVe
Wear Everyday Minerals foundation

Night:
Take makeup off with DHC cleansing oil
Wash with Cetaphil for oily skin
Apply .1% Tretinoin cream (Retin-A)
Moisturize with CeraVe, if needed

Take 500 mg Tetracycline twice a day

Ohh, I really wish you had a picture. That sounds exactly like what I had in mind. I don't want them blonde either. Did your hair get damaged?

What do you mean by caramel high lights? Do you mean blonde high lights? My hair is highlighted blonde but I would prefer not to post pictures of my face anymore. I will post a pic of my hair though http://img212.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hair002zf8.jpg

Edit: I didnt read everything you wrote and just noticed you said you dont want them blonde. I still dont understand what you mean by caramel highlights though. Please paraphrase smile.gif

Molly, it's like a soft light brown color. I think it would contrast nice against my medium brown and still look natural.

No damage at all....it was even done over existing hair color. I do have healthy hair, but I still asked my hairdresser if it could handle the bleach & she said absolutely.

Okay, okay...here are some photos....I used my laptop camera (my digital won't work) in our well-lit guest room cuz I tried it before in my room & they didn't show up on the dim lighting.
I would also like to post a disclaimer that:
- I am in my night dress (that sounds so old fashioned)
- My hair is a mess
- My makeup is all worn off

Okay...my lovely highlights:

thanks smile.gif
When I was a kid I called my beauty marks polka dots biggrin.gif and I hated them. I like them now; I'm spotted like a leopard eusa_dance.gif
Oh and every time I go to a club, inevitably one gay guy comes up to me & tells me he loves my beauty marks....it's pretty funny.

Thanks for posting your pictures, too, MissChanel. Your hair compliments you. I think your highlights are a bit too blonde for what I want, but they look great on you! By the way, you have beautiful eyes, too.

Don't worry, I used to totally blonde all over, too, so I get it. razz.gif

Aaa, I took it down because I suddenly felt silly for writing that when you might not even be talking about that.

So, here's what I can remember of what I wrote (in response to her first post), so nobody thinks Molly's gone completely bonkers:

"Aww, Molly. From the 1 picture I've seen of you, you're really cute. We could be cousins, and I'd even claim you. You should be plastering your face and your highlights all over the internet. smile.gif"
