I've been on the regimen for about 6 months now and it's cleared me up tremendously. But i'm still having one problem. About every two weeks the skin around my mouth and goatee region gets dry. To avoid this I have been putting 2 pumps of moisturizer on since I started getting this problem, but I'm still getting flakes. What should I do? Should I switch moisturizers?

You could try a different moisturizer (a lot of people seem to like Cetaphil, CeraVe, and Complex 15), or you could try adding some jojoba oil to your moisturizer.

I know Cetaphil is widely available, as that's what I use. I've never looked for the other two, so I can't really say for sure.

i know they are all sold at walgreens, im not sure about cvs. And jojoba oil you can find at a whole food store. The brand most people use is called desert essence. Or you can try Dan's.
If you do use it, make sure to mix it in with your mosturizer.

I like cetaphil, i have really dry skin too and it works great.

I actually have been using dan's jojoba oil for a while and it works great. Does the cetaphil leave my face looking shiny and oily like dan's does?

I've been using Cetaphil for around a year now, and it doesn't really make my face shiny. It's a bit heavier than some moisturizers, though, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Same here, at first it was very thick, but my skin quickly responded to it and adjusted.
