ive been on dianette for 4 months and it's worked really well at reducing the oiliness of my skin (not stopped me breaking out though
has this happened to anyone else? has the dianette stopped working or something?

Started Roaccutane on March 5th 2007: Month 1 - 20mg Month 2 - 40mg Month 3 - 60mg Month 4 - 60mg Month 5 - 60mg Month 6 - 60mg Using Clinique extra mild facial soap and Clinique exceptionally soothing moisturiser for upset skin... and the Carmex... {Changed lip balm to Burts Bees Beeswax in month 3... loads better than carmex} {Stopped washing with the soap as it was irritating my face too much. Now using Nivea moisturising cleansing lotion and using a hot face cloth every few days to remove the flakiness} |

Um not really....I find my skin is really dry now!! But maybe it's sweat? try using oil free moisturisers for a while.

Diannette worked great for me. Can't say i've heard of that fluctuation in the oil.

I was on dianette for about 8months, it had no affect on my skin at all. I dont know whether things like that "just stop working", maybe your skins just not being affected by it anymore?

Diane shouldnt have this effect. Has there been any change in climate where you are? Been in the sun? Humidity and sun can increase oilness temporarily (usually dry once you get a tan but couple weeks after dryness clears up and gets oilier).
I find I still have oily skin on my forehead and chin even on Diane and Androcur but I live in Oz and it's been a hot humid summer so that's what I contribute my oiliness to at the moment. |
