Hey, guys. I have this small cluster of cysts on my chin... It's like a little family of small cysts. As soon as one starts to heal, there is another one just waiting to pop up right behind it. What's up with that? Why is it happening in this one little corner of my chin? I can use all the benzoyl peroxide in the world, and this little cluster persists... Ugggg!

Hey, guys! In case you don't already know my story, I was on my third course of Accutane & my hair started falling out around day 14, so I threw the stuff out after I took my last pill on day 18. My doc insists the hair will grow back, but I didn't want to take any chances. So, I'm done with Accutane. Anyway, my doc also said that despite the fact that I stopped taking the pill, my hair will continue for fall out for a while. I guess it just has to go through this shedding cycle before it can start growing back again - which sucks! So, I was just wondering if anyone has tried using Rogaine while dealing with Accuntane - induced hair loss? Have you had any luck with it? (I'm a chick, by the way, so male patterned baldness does not apply.) Thanks!

Hey, guys. I was just wondering if anyone else around here has taken Accutane for one month or less... If so, do you have any long-term problems, or were you able to get off the drug in time to save yourself the long-term consequences? My hair started thinning after 2 weeks on this drug (I have now taken 18 days worth- 40mg per day), so now I am seriously considering just throwing the rest of it in the trash. I just hope it's not too late & I haven't screwed myself completely.

Thanks for the info.

Hey, guys. I'm a 32 year-old female & I've been battling acne for half of my life. I did two courses of accutane years ago, but I can't remember how long I did each course. I know that I never completed one because I always ran out of insurance for one reason or another. Anyway, here I am again - back on the Accutane bandwagon.

I have now been on Accutane for a little over 2 weeks (40mg per day). Until now, my only symptom was chapped lips. But, two days ago my hair started falling out - big time. It scared me, really. I just washed my hair & after I combed through it, I couldn't believe the amount of hair hanging from my comb. It really scared the crap out of me. This morning, after I washed my hair, the same thing happened. Now, I am freaking out. I have very fine hair, so there is no way I can continue to lose this much hair. Just today, I made an appointment with my hairdresser so that I can shorten my hair to lessen the emotional "blow." Of course, this means I will be cutting several inches off my hair & I am really disheartened by this. But, I'll get over it... It will grow back eventually.

Anyway, I am definitely going to call my doc in the morning. But, I just don't know what to do at this point. If I quit now, will I continue to lose hair? Have I totally screwed myself? I am just so bummed because I was really looking forward to starting accutane so I could finally have clear skin & now I am losing my hair & considering quitting the accutane... So, instead of long hair and clear skin - I am now looking at short, thinned out hair & just as much acne as before. I am almost regretting ever trying this stuff to begin with.

Any comments will be appreciated.... I'd love to hear about others' experiences with this problem. Thanks!

I was just wondering if anyone has had good (or bad) experiences with Retin-A....???
Does it work for acne? What about wrinkles?

Thanks!
